Wildcat Fel Adult Renal Chicken
Wildcat VetLine Renal ChickenWildcat VetLine Renal Chicken with 55% chicken. Grain-free wet diet food to support kidney function and reduce the formation of oxalate and urate stones. In 85 g and 200 g.Wildcat VetLine Adult Renal Chicken is a specially formulated complete dietetic food for adult cats with chronic renal insufficiency. The adapted formula supports kidney function and may also help to reduce the formation of calcium oxalate and urate stones. The kidneys perform vital functions in a cat’s body. They filter metabolic waste products from the blood, regulate fluid balance and help maintain mineral balance. In chronic renal insufficiency, this function gradually declines. A specially formulated diet can help to relieve the strain on the kidneys and support the wellbeing of affected cats. The Wildcat VetLine Renal Chicken formula is characterised by a limited protein content and a reduced phosphorus content. With 8.2% crude protein and just 0.15% phosphorus, this wet food is tailored to the specific nutritional needs of cats with kidney disease. With 55% chicken as the main ingredient, this food provides selected animal proteins. The tasty recipe can be particularly beneficial for cats that have a reduced appetite due to their condition. The formula is supplemented with sweet potatoes, pumpkin, Jerusalem artichokes and alfalfa. The prebiotic fibres it contains, mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), can support a balanced gut flora and normal digestion.A key feature is the addition of 0.35% potassium citrate, which has a urine-alkalising effect. This means the food can help to influence the conditions under which calcium oxalate stones form. A suitably adapted diet may also be beneficial in cases of certain disorders of uric acid metabolism. The linseed oil contained in the food provides valuable fatty acids. With a fat content of 8.5% and an energy content of 117 kcal per 100 g, the food offers good energy density, which can be particularly helpful for cats with a reduced appetite. The moisture content of 77% contributes further to daily fluid intake. Adequate hydration is particularly important for cats with kidney disease.Wildcat VetLine Renal was developed in collaboration with vets and nutritionists. The grain-free formula contains no added maize, soya or flavour enhancers. The diet wet food is available in the practical 85 g and 200 g sizes. This allows the daily food portion to be tailored to individual needs.Wildcat VetLine Adult Renal Chicken is a complete dietetic feed for specific nutritional purposes. Veterinary advice should be sought before use and before extending the duration of feeding.Changing your cat’s dietUnless otherwise recommended by your vet, the switch should be made gradually over a period of around 14 days.In the event of acute health problems, a more rapid change in diet may be necessary. In this case, follow your vet’s instructions.Important notesNot suitable for kittensNot suitable for pregnant or nursing catsDo not use in cases of liver failure with impaired bile secretionDo not use in cases of pancreatitis or hyperlipidaemiaDo not combine with other special diets without consulting your vetCheck body weight and food intake regularlyEnsure fresh drinking water is available at all timesStore opened packets in the fridge and use them up promptlyIf your cat persistently refuses food, vomits repeatedly or shows a marked deterioration in its general condition, you should consult a vet immediately.Zoo Roco TipCats with chronic kidney disease often have a reduced appetite and require special attention when it comes to feeding. It is important not only to ensure the right nutritional composition, but also that your cat eats enough and drinks sufficient fluids.Wildcat VetLine Renal Chicken contains a reduced phosphorus content and a limited proportion of selected animal proteins. This enables the food to provide nutritional support for the veterinary treatment of chronic kidney disease.Serve wet food at room temperature or slightly warmed. This allows the natural flavours of the food to develop better and can improve acceptance, particularly in cats with a reduced appetite.Provide your cat with several places to drink. Many cats prefer fresh water in quiet spots. A cat fountain can also help to encourage fluid intake.Weigh your cat regularly and keep an eye out for changes in appetite, drinking habits and activity levels.Do not mix a kidney diet with ordinary cat food or unsuitable treats without consulting your vet. Doing so may alter the carefully balanced phosphorus content and protein intake.Regular veterinary check-ups help to tailor the diet to the individual course of the disease.

In 85 g and 200 g.Wildcat VetLine Adult Gastrointestinal Duck & Turkey is a specially formulated complete dietetic food for adult cats with digestive problems. The easily digestible formula supports nutrient absorption in cases of intestinal malabsorption and serves to compensate for inadequate digestion, for example in cases of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.A sensitive gastrointestinal tract can manifest itself in various ways in cats. Soft stools, diarrhoea, flatulence, vomiting or a reduced appetite can be signs of digestive problems. A specially formulated diet can help to relieve the digestive tract and ensure an adequate supply of nutrients. The recipe contains 33 % duck and 27 % turkey as selected animal protein sources. These provide important amino acids and ensure a savoury flavour. Good food acceptance is particularly important for cats with a reduced appetite. With a crude fat content of 5,2 % this wet food offers an adjusted fat supply. The selected, easily digestible ingredients are intended to support digestion and facilitate nutrient absorption.A special feature is the increased electrolyte content. With sodium and potassium, the formula contains important minerals that are particularly significant in cases of digestive disorders with fluid loss. As a result, the food can help to support the supply of electrolytes. In addition to duck and turkey, the recipe contains sweet potatoes and pumpkin as plant-based ingredients. The wet food is supplemented with Jerusalem artichoke, alfalfa and dried eggs. The prebiotic fibres mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and fructooligosaccharides (FOS) contained in the food serve as a nutrient basis for certain beneficial gut bacteria. They can support a balanced gut flora and thus contribute to normal digestive function.Salmon oil provides valuable omega-3 fatty acids, whilst the omega-6 fatty acids it contains contribute to normal skin and coat function. With a moisture content of 78 % this wet food also contributes to daily fluid intake. Particularly during and after gastrointestinal illnesses, it is important not to place unnecessary strain on the digestive tract through frequent feed changes or unsuitable treats.Wildcat VetLine Gastrointestinal Duck & Turkey combines easily digestible ingredients with an adjusted fat supply and an increased electrolyte content. This allows the food to support veterinary treatment in certain digestive disorders from a nutritional physiology point of view.Divide the daily food amount into several small portions. Especially in cats with a sensitive stomach or reduced appetite, this can make food intake easier.Offer the wet food at room temperature if possible. Slightly warmed food develops a more intense smell and can therefore be more attractive for cats with little appetite. Also ensure adequate water intake. In diarrhoea and vomiting, the body loses fluids and electrolytes, which is why there is a risk of dehydration.During a vet-prescribed gastrointestinal diet, you should avoid offering additional treats or unsuitable feedingstuffs wherever possible. This can impair the effect of the balanced nutrition.Observe your cat’s appetite, stool consistency and general well-being and have persistent complaints assessed by a vet.

It is not only crucial to Wahl a suitable diet food, but also to ensure the correct daily portion size.Wildcat VetLine Weight Management combines a high protein content with reduced fat and satiating fibre. This enables the food to provide nutritional support for controlled weight loss.Use digital kitchen scales to measure out the daily food portion accurately. For small cats in particular, even a few grams of dry food can make a significant difference to their daily calorie intake.Spread the daily ration across several smaller meals. Feeding toys or puzzle toys can also be useful for slowing down food intake whilst keeping your cat occupied.Supplement the adjusted diet with regular exercise. Short play sessions with a cat teaser, a toy ball or another suitable cat toy can help encourage your cat to be more active.Cats must not be allowed to go hungry whilst losing weight. Losing weight too quickly can increase the risk of dangerous fatty liver disease. You should therefore consult your vet to determine the target weight and the appropriate food ration.

Wildcat Fel Adult Urinary Chicken
Wildcat VetLine Urinary ChickenWildcat VetLine Urinary Chicken. Grain-free dietary dry food for adult cats to dissolve struvite stones and reduce their recurrence. Available in 400 g and 3 kg.Wildcat VetLine Adult Urinary Chicken is a specially formulated complete dietetic food for adult cats with certain lower urinary tract conditions. The balanced formulation supports the dissolution of struvite stones and helps to reduce the risk of struvite stones forming again.Urinary tract problems are relatively common in cats. The term FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease) covers a range of conditions affecting the lower urinary tract. These include, amongst others, cystitis, urinary crystals and urinary stones. Symptoms may include a frequent urge to urinate, pain when urinating or sudden loss of bladder control.Struvite crystals and struvite stones are particularly common. These consist of magnesium, ammonium and phosphate. An excessively high, alkaline urine pH can promote their formation. The special formulation of Wildcat VetLine Urinary Chicken has urine-acidifying properties. The urine-acidifying agents it contains – DL-methionine and ammonium chloride – help to specifically lower the pH of the urine. Under suitable conditions, this can dissolve existing struvite stones and make it more difficult for them to reform.Another important component of the formulation is the adjusted magnesium and phosphorus content. The controlled supply of minerals is intended to help limit the formation of struvite crystals and reduce the risk of recurrent urinary stone problems. This dry food contains chicken as its main animal ingredient. Chicken provides valuable proteins and essential amino acids, which contribute to a diet tailored to the nutritional needs of adult cats. The grain-free formula is tailored to the specific nutritional needs of cats with struvite problems. In addition, the food contains the prebiotic fibres mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), which can support a balanced gut flora and normal digestive function.Wildcat VetLine Urinary was developed in collaboration with vets and nutritionists. The recipe contains no added maize, gluten, soya or flavour enhancers. The diet dry food is available in 400 g and 3 kg packs. The smaller pack is particularly suitable for trying out the formula, whilst the 3 kg pack offers a practical stock-up size for long-term feeding.WILDCAT VetLine Urinary Chicken is a complete dietetic feed for specific urinary tract problems. This is a veterinary emergency. Seek immediate treatment at a veterinary practice or clinic.Zoo Roco TipAdequate water intake is one of the most important measures for cats with urinary tract problems. As cats naturally tend to drink very little, their urine can become highly concentrated. Under certain conditions, this increases the risk of urinary crystals and stones forming.Wildcat VetLine Urinary Chicken has urine-acidifying properties and contains an adjusted mineral content. This enables the dry food to provide nutritional support for veterinary treatment of struvite stones.Provide your cat with several water bowls in different, quiet locations. Many cats prefer drinking spots that are not right next to their food or litter tray.A cat fountain can also help encourage your cat to drink more frequently. For cats that drink very little, supplementing their diet with a suitable urinary wet food may be advisable. However, please consult your vet before introducing a mixed diet to ensure that the dietary properties of the total daily ration are maintained. You should also ensure there are plenty of clean litter trays and that the environment is as stress-free as possible. Stress can contribute to certain lower urinary tract conditions.Struvite stones and calcium oxalate stones require different nutritional management strategies. A diet designed to acidify the urine, such as Wildcat VetLine Urinary, is therefore not suitable for every type of urinary stone. We recommend having the success of the treatment checked regularly through veterinary urine tests.

Wildcat Fel Adult Renal Chicken
Wildcat VetLine Renal ChickenWildcat VetLine Renal Chicken. Grain-free diet dry food to support kidney function in cats. With reduced protein and phosphorus content. Available in 400 g and 3 kg packs.Wildcat VetLine Adult Renal Chicken is a specially formulated complete dietetic food for adult cats with chronic renal insufficiency. The carefully balanced formula supports kidney function and may also help to reduce the formation of calcium oxalate and urate stones. The kidneys perform vital functions in your cat’s body. They filter metabolic waste products from the blood, regulate water and electrolyte balance, and help maintain a balanced mineral balance. In chronic kidney failure, this function gradually declines. A targeted diet can help to relieve the strain on the kidneys and support the wellbeing of affected cats. The Wildcat VetLine Renal Chicken formula is characterised by a limited protein content and reduced phosphorus and sodium levels. This means the food is tailored to the specific nutritional needs of cats with impaired kidney function.Controlled protein intake is intended to limit the formation of nitrogenous metabolic by-products. At the same time, a reduced phosphorus content is particularly important, as cats with chronic kidney disease are often no longer able to excrete excess phosphorus adequately. The dry food contains chicken as a selected source of animal protein. The tasty recipe with chicken and sweet potatoes is designed to encourage good palatability. This is particularly important for cats with kidney disease, as they often suffer from a reduced appetite.Another distinctive feature is the inclusion of potassium citrate, which has urine-alkalising properties. By influencing the pH of the urine, it can help to reduce the risk of calcium oxalate stones forming. The specially formulated composition also takes into account the nutritional requirements associated with certain disorders of uric acid metabolism. The grain-free formula also contains the prebiotic fibres mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS). These can support a balanced gut flora and contribute to normal digestive function.Wildcat VetLine Renal was developed in collaboration with vets and nutritionists. The formula contains no added maize, gluten, soya or flavour enhancers. The diet dry food is available in handy 400 g and 3 kg packs. The smaller pack is particularly suitable for trying out the food, whilst the 3 kg pack is a stock-up size for long-term feeding.Wildcat VetLine Renal Chicken is a complete dietetic feed for specific nutritional purposes. It is not only crucial to ensure an appropriate nutritional composition, but also that the cat eats enough and drinks sufficient fluids.Wildcat VetLine Renal Chicken contains selected proteins and has a reduced phosphorus and sodium content. This means that the dry food can provide nutritional support for veterinary treatment of chronic renal failure. If your cat is drinking very little, you can moisten the dry food with a little lukewarm water. Allow the food to soak for a short while and remove any uneaten leftovers promptly.Alternatively, combining this with a suitable renal wet food may be advisable. However, please discuss any mixed feeding regime with your vet to ensure that the total daily ration continues to meet the specific requirements of a renal diet.Provide several water stations in quiet areas. Many cats prefer fresh water that is not placed directly next to their food or litter tray. A cat fountain can also help to encourage water intake.Weigh your cat regularly and keep an eye out for changes in appetite, drinking habits and body weight. Even slight weight loss can be significant in cats with kidney disease.Avoid giving additional phosphorus-rich snacks or standard cat food unless these have been expressly agreed with the treating veterinary practice.Regular veterinary check-ups help to tailor the diet to the individual progression of the kidney disease.

Wildcat Fel Adult Hypoallergenic Salmon
Wildcat VetLine Hypoallergenic SalmonWildcat VetLine Hypoallergenic Salmon with 33 % salmon and 33 % sweet potatoes. Grain-free diet dry food for cats with food intolerances. In 400 g and 3 kg.WILDCAT VetLine Adult Hypoallergenic Salmon is a specially developed complete dietetic food for adult cats with food intolerances. The carefully balanced formula is intended to reduce symptoms of ingredient and nutrient intolerances whilst simultaneously supporting skin function in cases of dermatosis and excessive hair loss.Food intolerances can manifest themselves in different ways in cats. Frequent scratching, excessive grooming, skin redness, coat problems or recurring digestive complaints may indicate an intolerance to certain food components.A distinction is made between food allergies and food intolerances. Whilst in the case of an allergy the immune system reacts to certain components, in the case of an intolerance similar complaints can occur without the involvement of the immune system. The formula of WILDCAT VetLine Hypoallergenic Salmon relies on selected, clearly declared ingredients. With 33 % salmon, of which 22 % dried and 11 % fresh salmon, the dry food provides high-quality animal proteins and valuable omega-3 fatty acids. As a selected carbohydrate source, the formula contains 33 % sweet potatoes. These are naturally grain-free and provide energy as well as plant-based fibre. The composition is complemented by 2 % pumpkin and other plant-based ingredients.A special feature is the open declaration. The individual ingredients are listed specifically so that cat owners can understand which components are contained in the food. This is particularly important when specifically feeding cats with food intolerances. The crude protein content of 32 % supports the daily protein supply, whilst the fat content of 15 % enables an energy intake tailored to requirements.Salmon oil and sunflower oil provide essential fatty acids. In particular, the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA as well as the omega-6 fatty acid linoleic acid are important for normal skin function. An adequate supply can help to support the skin barrier and coat quality. The prebiotic fibres mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) contained can support a balanced intestinal flora and normal digestive function.WILDCAT VetLine Hypoallergenic was developed in collaboration with vets and nutritionists. The formula is grain-free and omits added maize, gluten, soya and artificial flavour enhancers. The diet dry food is available in the sizes 400 g and 3 kg. The smaller pack is particularly suitable for getting to know the food, whilst the 3 kg pack is a practical stock size for longer-term feeding. In the case of a medically supervised elimination diet, the suitability of the entire list of ingredients must be checked. In particular, in the case of a known intolerance to poultry components, the current declaration should be clarified with a vet before use.Your benefits at a glanceAvailable in 400 g and 3 kg dry foodComplete dietetic food for adult catsWith 33 % salmon as a high-quality animal ingredientWith 33 % sweet potatoes as a grain-free carbohydrate sourceDeveloped to reduce food intolerancesOmega fatty acids to support skin and coatWith prebiotic fibres MOS and FOSGrain-free formula with transparent ingredient declarationContains chicken fat and chicken brothInstructions for useWILDCAT VetLine Adult Hypoallergenic Salmon is a complete dietetic food for adult cats for the reduction of ingredient and nutrient intolerance symptoms as well as for the support of skin function in cases of dermatosis and excessive hair loss.Feeding should take place according to veterinary recommendation. Even small amounts of an incompatible food component can trigger complaints in sensitive cats.WILDCAT VetLine Hypoallergenic Salmon contains selected ingredients as well as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which can contribute to supporting skin and coat.Keep a small feeding diary during a vet-supervised elimination diet. Note which food your cat receives and how skin, coat, itching and digestion develop.Avoid additional treats, chew items or food samples during this time that do not explicitly belong to the nutrition plan. Also make sure that all family members are informed about the special feeding. This helps prevent your cat from accidentally receiving unsuitable foods. In the case of known allergies to animal components, you should not only pay attention to the main protein source, but always check the complete composition.

Frequent scratching, excessive grooming, skin redness, coat problems or recurring digestive complaints can be indications of an intolerance to certain food ingredients.A distinction is made between food allergies and food intolerances. In the case of an allergy, the immune system reacts to certain proteins. In the case of an intolerance, similar complaints can occur without the immune system being involved. The formula of WILDCAT VetLine Hypoallergenic Salmon contains 60 % salmon as the sole source of animal protein. By specifically selecting a single animal protein source, the diet can be kept particularly clear. This is especially important for cats with known intolerances or as part of a veterinary-supervised elimination diet.As a selected source of carbohydrates, the wet food contains 4 % sweet potatoes. The grain-free formula is limited to a few, clearly defined ingredients and thus makes it easier to control daily feeding.Salmon provides high-quality animal protein as well as valuable omega-3 fatty acids. EPA and DHA in particular play an important role in normal skin function. Together with the omega-6 fatty acids it contains, they can support the skin barrier and normal coat condition. With a crude protein content of 9,7 % and a fat content of 8,2 %, the wet food offers a balanced nutrient supply for adult cats. The formula is supplemented by Jerusalem artichoke, alfalfa, salmon oil, sunflower oil and algae. The prebiotic fibres it contains, mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and fructooligosaccharides (FOS), can support a balanced intestinal flora and contribute to normal digestive function.Another advantage is the moisture content of 76 %, which contributes to daily fluid intake. Cats in particular, which naturally drink little, can benefit from the additional water intake through the wet food.WILDCAT VetLine Hypoallergenic was developed in collaboration with vets and nutritionists. This means the food can effectively support weight loss under veterinary supervision.Weigh your cat regularly and keep a record of its weight changes. This allows even small changes to be detected at an early stage. It is best to use kitchen scales for the daily food ration. Even small extra portions and treats can affect the success of a weight-loss diet.Supplement the adjusted diet with playful exercise. Short, regular play sessions with a cat teaser or a suitable interactive toy can encourage your cat to be more active. It is particularly important: cats must not be allowed to go hungry. Losing weight too quickly can cause serious metabolic problems. You should therefore ensure that the weight loss is supervised by a vet.

Wildcat VetLine Urinary TurkeyWILDCAT VetLine Urinary Turkey with 62 % turkey. Grain-free wet diet food designed to dissolve struvite stones and reduce their recurrence. Available in 85 g and 200 g packs.WILDCAT VetLine Adult Urinary Turkey is a specially formulated complete dietetic food for adult cats with certain lower urinary tract conditions. The balanced formula supports the dissolution of struvite stones and helps to reduce the risk of struvite stones forming again.Urinary tract problems are among the more common health issues in cats. The term FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease) covers various conditions affecting the lower urinary tract. These include, for example, cystitis, urinary crystals and urinary stones.Struvite crystals and struvite stones, which consist of magnesium, ammonium and phosphate, are particularly common. Their formation is promoted, amongst other things, by an alkaline urine pH.The specially formulated recipe of WILDCAT VetLine Urinary Turkey contains adjusted amounts of magnesium and phosphorus. In addition, the DL-methionine it contains ensures targeted acidification of the urine. This allows existing struvite stones to dissolve under suitable conditions and reduces the risk of them reforming. With 62 % turkey as the main ingredient, this wet food provides high-quality animal proteins and a hearty flavour. Turkey supplies important amino acids and supports the nutritional needs of adult cats. The grain-free formula also contains sweet potatoes, cranberries, Jerusalem artichoke, alfalfa and stinging nettle. Many cats prefer to drink when the water is not right next to their food or litter tray.A drinking fountain can also help to encourage water intake. Some cats prefer running water and therefore drink more frequently. You should also ensure that the litter tray is kept clean and that the environment is as stress-free as possible. Stress can contribute to various urinary tract problems in cats.It is particularly important that a urinary diet is tailored to the specific condition present. Struvite stones and calcium oxalate stones require different nutritional management approaches. We therefore recommend having the success of the treatment monitored regularly through veterinary urine tests.

Not all urinary tract problems and urinary stone types respond to acidification of the urine. Therefore, it is important to have the cause of the symptoms determined before use.The stated quantities are guideline values. The actual requirement depends, amongst other things, on your cat’s body weight, age, activity and state of health.Recommended duration of useFor the dissolution of struvite stones, usually 5 to 12 weeksFor reducing the recurrence of struvite stones, initially up to 6 monthsVeterinary advice should be sought before use and before extending the feeding periodChange of foodUnless otherwise recommended by a vet, the change to the new food should take place gradually over approximately 14 days.In the case of acute urinary tract problems, an immediate change of food may be necessary. In this case, follow the veterinary instructionsImportant notesNot suitable for kittensNot suitable for pregnant or nursing catsDo not use in chronic renal insufficiencyDo not use in heart failureNot suitable for reducing calcium oxalate stone formationDo not combine with additional urine-acidifying preparations without veterinary recommendationProvide fresh drinking water at all timesStore opened packs in a cool place and use promptlyIf your cat frequently visits the litter tray but cannot pass any urine or only very little urine, there is a suspicion of urethral obstruction. This is a veterinary emergency and requires immediate veterinary help.Zoo Roco TipAdequate water intake plays an important role in cats with urinary tract problems. Many cats naturally drink only a little, which is why wet food can be a sensible way to increase daily fluid intake.WILDCAT VetLine Urinary Chicken contains 79 % moisture and thus supports your cat’s fluid intake.Place several water bowls in different, quiet locations. Many cats prefer drinking places that are not directly next to the food or the litter tray.A cat fountain can also help to promote water intake. Some cats show greater interest in running water. Also ensure there are enough clean litter trays and an environment that is as stress-free as possible. Stress can promote lower urinary tract complaints, especially in sensitive cats.Struvite stones and calcium oxalate stones require different nutritional measures. A urine-acidifying diet such as WILDCAT VetLine Urinary is therefore not suitable for every type of urinary stone.Have the success of the treatment checked regularly by veterinary urine tests.

Wildcat Fel Adult Renal Turkey
Wildcat VetLine Renal TurkeyWildcat VetLine Renal Turkey with 53% turkey. Grain-free wet diet food to support kidney function and reduce the formation of oxalate and urate stones. Available in 85 g and 200 g.Wildcat VetLine Adult Renal Turkey is a specially formulated complete dietetic food for adult cats with chronic renal insufficiency. The adapted formula supports kidney function and may also help to reduce the formation of calcium oxalate and urate stones. The kidneys perform vital functions in a cat’s metabolism. They filter waste products from the blood, regulate water and electrolyte balance, and help maintain mineral balance. In chronic kidney failure, this filtering capacity gradually declines. A targeted diet can help to relieve the strain on the kidneys and support the quality of life of affected cats. The Wildcat VetLine Renal Turkey formula contains a limited protein content and a reduced phosphorus content. The adjusted protein content can reduce the amount of nitrogenous metabolic by-products, whilst the reduction in phosphorus is particularly important in cases of chronic kidney disease. With 53% turkey as the main ingredient, this wet food provides selected animal proteins. The tasty recipe may also appeal to cats whose appetite has diminished due to their illness. The food is supplemented with sweet potatoes, pumpkin, Jerusalem artichokes and alfalfa. These plant-based ingredients provide additional nutrients and fibre. The mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) they contain act as prebiotic fibre and can support a balanced gut flora.Another distinctive feature is the addition of 0.35% potassium citrate. This has a urine-alkalising effect and can help to reduce the risk of calcium oxalate stones forming. The adapted formula is also suitable for providing nutritional support in certain disorders of uric acid metabolism. The linseed oil contained in the food provides valuable fatty acids. With a fat content of 8.7% and an energy content of 122 kcal per 100 g, the food offers a comparatively high energy density, which can be helpful for cats with a low food intake. The moisture content of 76% also supports daily fluid intake. Adequate hydration is particularly important for cats with kidney disease.Wildcat VetLine Renal was developed in collaboration with vets and nutritionists. The recipe is grain-free and contains no added maize, soya or flavour enhancers. The diet wet food is available in convenient 85 g and 200 g sizes, allowing for individual portioning.Wildcat VetLine Adult Renal Turkey is a complete dietetic food for specific nutritional purposes. It should only be used on veterinary advice and is not a substitute for medical treatment.Your benefits at a glanceAvailable in 85 g and 200 g wet foodDietary complete feed for adult catsContains 53% turkey as a selected source of animal proteinLimited protein content to support kidney functionReduced phosphorus and sodium contentContains 0.35% potassium citrate to alkalise the urineGrain-free formula with prebiotic fibres MOS and FOS76% moisture content to support fluid intakeAvailable sizes85g200gInstructions for useWildcat VetLine Adult Renal Turkey is a complete dietetic food for adult cats, designed to support kidney function in cases of chronic renal failure and to reduce the formation of calcium oxalate and urate stones.Feeding should only take place following veterinary assessment and recommendation. Kidney diseases and different types of urinary stones require different nutritional management strategies.Where possible, divide the daily ration into several smaller meals. This can make it easier for cats to eat, particularly those with a reduced appetite.Recommended duration of useIn cases of chronic renal failure, initially for up to 6 monthsTo reduce the formation of calcium oxalate stones, initially for up to 6 monthsTo reduce the formation of urate stones, initially for up to 6 monthsIn cases of irreversible disorders of uric acid metabolism, lifelong feeding may be necessaryVeterinary advice should be sought before use and before extending the duration of feedingChanging your cat’s dietUnless otherwise recommended by a vet, the switch to Wildcat VetLine Renal should be made gradually over a period of approximately 14 days.In the event of acute health problems, a more rapid change to the diet may be necessary. In this case, follow your vet’s instructionsImportant notesNot suitable for kittensNot suitable for pregnant or nursing catsDo not use in cases of liver failure with impaired bile secretionDo not use in cases of pancreatitis or hyperlipidaemiaDo not combine with other special diets without consulting your vetCheck body weight and food intake regularlyEnsure fresh drinking water is available at all timesStore opened packs in the fridge and feed them to your cat as soon as possibleIn the event of a prolonged refusal to eat, repeated vomiting or a marked deterioration in general health, veterinary advice should be sought immediatelyZoo Roco TipCats with chronic kidney disease often require special attention when it comes to feeding. In addition to the adapted nutrient composition, it is important that the cat eats sufficiently and drinks enough fluids.Wildcat VetLine Renal Turkey contains reduced phosphorus levels and selected animal proteins. This enables the food to provide nutritional support for the veterinary treatment of chronic kidney disease.Serve the wet food at a slightly warm temperature, or at room temperature. This allows the aroma to develop more fully, which can be particularly helpful for cats with a reduced appetite.Provide several drinking options in quiet places. A cat fountain may also encourage some cats to drink more frequently. For cats with kidney disease, we recommend regularly monitoring body weight and recording any changes in appetite, drinking behaviour and urine output.Do not mix the Renal food with ordinary cat food or unsuitable treats without consulting your vet. Doing so may alter the carefully balanced phosphorus and protein content of the daily ration.Regular veterinary check-ups to monitor kidney function and general health help to adapt the diet to the progression of the disease.
