Instructions for use
Fill the individual feeding trays with the desired amount of food and set the feeding times to suit your fish’s needs. Test the feeder a few days in advance before a longer absence to ensure that the quantity, type of food and dispensing are correct. Make sure the food remains dry and that the dispensing opening is clear.

The Rondomatic 400 is particularly well suited for reliably feeding fish whilst on holiday or at weekends. Algae no longer stand a chance
Plants assimilate and grow much better because of the carbon from EasyCarbo. The more vigorous growth of underwater and marsh plants causes a reduction in algae. Brush algae, beard algae and the like really don't stand a chance any more. Most aquarium fish come from tropical waters and need water temperatures between 22 and 30 °C. In community aquariums with fish/invertebrates from different regions, a water temperature of 24-26 °C has shown to be effective. 30 °C is only suitable for some fish breeding (e.g. discus fish). Many shrimp species come from cooler waters and do not tolerate temperatures of 25-30°C. The water temperature should be set with a "regulated heater" which regulates the temperature automatically. For this purpose, there are rod-shaped heaters which are fixed in the aquarium (JBL ProTemp s) in various wattage and external heaters/in-line heaters which are integrated in the water-returning hose of an external filter (JBL ProTemp e) in two wattage. The advantage of external heaters is that it is one less product to be placed INSIDE the aquarium and the distribution of heat in the aquarium is more even. In addition, the digital display of the external heater always clearly shows the current water temperature. Under gravel heating is NOT used to set the water temperature. An under gravel heating cable ensures a better flow of water through the substrate of the aquarium, as the heated water at the heating cable rises and colder water flows into the areas between the heating cables. Thus, nutrients are flushed to the plant roots and ensure optimal plant growth. Under gravel heating cables must always be supplemented by a "main heater" (JBL ProTemp s or e).

What is a CO2 system?
A CO₂ system for an aquarium is an aquarium technology that releases carbon dioxide (CO₂) into the aquarium water to promote the growth of aquatic plants. These systems are used to create optimal conditions for plant growth, especially in well-planted Holland aquariums or aqua scape.
A CO2 system consists of the cylinder in which the gas is stored, the pressure reducer and the hose that feeds the gas into the aquarium. The amount of gas can be controlled with the bubble counter. The diffuser is then used to distribute the CO2 in the water.
A CO2 system can be controlled manually or automatically, depending on the needs of the aquarist and the complexity of the system.
The addition of CO2 promotes plant growth, improves the colourfulness of the plants and creates a healthy and lively underwater environment overall.
However, it is important to monitor and adjust the CO2 supply accordingly to avoid overdosing, which could harm fish and other organisms in the aquarium.
When do you need an automatic feeder in the aquarium?
Automatic feeders take over the feeding of ornamental fish while you are away. This means you can go on holiday with peace of mind and the fish are well looked after.
Start up the automatic feeder two weeks before you go on holiday. This allows you to monitor the amount of food and if too much food is fed into the aquarium, you can change the water.
It makes sense to install an automatic feeder during your holiday, even if your neighbour is feeding. Otherwise, there is usually more than enough food and the balance in the aquarium is upset.
Automatic feeders are available from JBL, EHEIM, Sera, Aquael and Superfish. Depending on the requirements, different types of food can also be added.
What technology do I need for an aquarium?
The basic equipment for an aquarium includes an aquarium filter that purifies the water. A heating rod is necessary for aquariums containing tropical ornamental fish that are used to temperatures above 22 °C. An aquarium also needs lighting.
