The name should be easy for the whole family to pronounce.
The name should be short. Long names are always more difficult for your cat to recognize.
The name should preferably have 2 syllables. Cats recognize the sound and pitches, through the syllables, they react quickly to the name.
The name should not resemble everyday words, which can lead to confusion for the cat. (E.g. name "Sit" with the command "Sit")
