Banana leaves – 20 pieces – dried
Banana leaves – natural care and decoration for aquariumsBanana leaves are a natural and decorative addition to freshwater aquariums. They are particularly suitable for shrimp aquariums, blackwater setups and naturally themed tanks. Once in the water, the dried leaves slowly release tannins, helping to create a natural aquarium environment. The leaves provide small fish, shrimp, snails and crabs with sheltered areas to hide in. As they gradually decompose, they create valuable grazing areas and a natural food source for shrimp and snails. Banana leaves are also popular in shrimp breeding, as they provide the animals with places to retreat to and additional surfaces for grazing.Banana leaves are an interesting alternative or addition to sea almond leaves and can be combined very well with other natural materials such as catappa bark, coconut shells, lotus pods or cholla wood.Advantages at a glanceNatural leaves for aquariums and shrimp tanksRelease tannins into the waterCan help to support a natural blackwater environmentProvide hiding places for small fish, shrimp, snails and crayfishUsed as grazing and feeding areas whilst decomposingNaturally dried and untreatedSafe for fish, shrimp, crayfish and snailsContents: 20 piecesUsageUse approximately 1 leaf per 5 litres of aquarium water. The leaves can be placed directly into the aquarium. They usually sink after 48–72 hours and remain effective for around 2–3 weeks. Afterwards, the remains can be removed or left in the aquarium as a natural food source for shrimp and snails. Zoo Roco Tip: Combine banana leaves with catappa leaves, coconut shells or moss-covered stones. This will create a natural arrangement with plenty of hiding places, foraging areas and a particularly harmonious look.

Mangrove A 42x27x58cm
Ceramic Mangrove A – decorative root for aquariums and terrariumsThe Ceramic Mangrove is a lifelike ceramic replica of a mangrove. It is easy to assemble and makes an attractive decoration for aquariums and terrariums. Its branched shape creates interesting structures, hiding places and natural accents in the tank. A major advantage in aquatics: as the mangrove is made of ceramic, it does not release any colour or tannins into the water. This keeps the aquarium water clear and prevents discolouration, as can happen with real roots. The ceramic mangrove is therefore particularly low-maintenance and ready to use straight away. Please note: Unlike real roots, this mangrove cannot be planted with live plants. However, it is ideal as a durable, dimensionally stable decoration for fish, shrimps, reptiles or amphibians.Advantages at a glanceCeramic mangrove replicaEasy to assembleDoes not release any colour or tannins into the aquarium waterSuitable for aquariums and terrariumsNatural look with a branched structureEasy to care for and retains its shapeNot suitable for plantingDimensions: 42 x 27 x 58 cm (L x W x H)Zoo Roco Tip: Rinse the Ceramic Mangrove briefly with clean water before adding it to the tank. questions & answers

Terraristics refers to the keeping and care of reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and sometimes other vertebrates in terrariums. It is a form of pet keeping that focuses on animals that live in natural habitats such as deserts, rainforests, swamps or other specific environments.
Terraristics encompasses a wide variety of animals, including snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, spiders, scorpions and other invertebrates. Keepers of terrarium animals endeavour to adapt the conditions in the terrarium as closely as possible to the animals' natural habitats by adjusting the temperature, humidity, lighting and other environmental factors.
Terrarium keeping is a fascinating hobby, but like all animal keeping, it requires specialised knowledge. The keeper of terrarium animals must take responsibility for ensuring that the needs of the animals kept are met and that they can live in animal-friendly conditions.
