Therese Schumacher

Managing Director, Accounting

Thesi IS the Zoo Roco in human form. She has been successfully running this specialised shop for over 30 years and does so with such passion that it is second to none. Thesi is our mastermind because she knows the ins and outs of every order and every item - there is rarely a question that Thesi doesn't have an answer for - and if such a case arises, she doesn't hesitate to tap into her huge network to get well-founded answers. So no matter what your concern - with Thesi you are with the right person.

Jessica Moosmann

Deputy Manager / Retail specialist EFZ, specialising in pet shops

Jessica has been working at Zoo Roco for many years - among other things, she completed her training here. In addition to her Jack Russell Terrier Murphy, Jessi loves terrariums and aquariums more than anything else. Thanks to her many years of experience in the pet trade, she has a wealth of specialist knowledge and will be happy to help you with any questions you may have about dogs, cats, mice - and all other animals.

Tanja Gross

Retail specialist EFZ, specialising in pet shops

Tanja is our woman for the rough stuff - whether it's for shop remodelling or new concepts for a specialist area - Tanja is very enthusiastic about ensuring that our shop is always tidy and beautifully designed. As a newcomer to the profession, you can feel her great motivation and love for her speciality. Tanja always has a solution or an idea ready - no matter how tricky the tasks and questions.

Anja Lerch

Retail specialist EFZ, specialising in pet shops, FBA animal carer

We had the pleasure of supporting Anja during her training, so we are all the more delighted that she has found her way back to us. After several years as a qualified pet shop assistant, Anja is now a top expert in her field.

Anja is always very committed to the welfare of animals and species-appropriate care. She will be happy to help you with any questions you may have.

Anja is a passionate keeper of snakes, invertebrates and frogs at home. But she also has a very warm relationship with dogs, which is immediately apparent when we welcome our furry friends to the shop.

Anina Schwab

EFZ retail specialist, online shop management (in training)

Anina likes to break new ground and so she is the first apprentice to complete her training as a retail specialist - online shop support - with us. And even though Anina will be spending some time behind the computer during her training, advising customers and looking after the animals is very important to her. With her dog, gerbils and fishs, Anina already has her own experience in many areas and skilfully incorporates this into everyday life. She loves animals more than anything, but the happy faces of our customers are also a great motivation for Anina to learn this profession.

Fabio Schrag

Retail specialist EFZ, designing shopping experiences (in training)

Fabio has loved animals since he was a child and it was clear to him that he wanted to work with animals. His communicative and friendly nature makes him a real asset in contact with our customers. Fabio is at home in aquaristics and already has some experience in this specialised field thanks to his own freshwater aquarium. In all other areas, Fabio is eager to learn and is a fast learner. He is very much looking forward to advising our customers in the coming years and constantly learning new things.

Rory Börlin

Internship PrA training

Rory is completing an internship with us in preparation for training in retail. You will find Rory working in animal care and merchandise management, where he is very committed to his work. Rory is very enthusiastic about our birds, rodents and rabbits and actively helps to provide the best possible conditions for the animals. He spends a lot of time with his dog, and the two of them make a great team.

Mirjam von Dach

Marketing Communications Planner, Online shop support, office assistant

Mirjam is the woman in charge of the online shop. She tests new products, puts them up for sale on the shop and describes the items with a keen eye for detail. As a long-standing employee, she has acquired a good level of expertise and can often find a solution to customer queries. When Mirjam is not behind the computer at Zoo Roco, she is guaranteed to be busy with her many pets at home.

Balthasar

Zoo Roco cat

Balthasar is every customer's favourite. With his very pushy, affectionate nature, he has already won many a heart. He doesn't particularly love dogs, but he tests our scratching posts with great vigour. And if it's not so exciting outside, he loves to ‘watch the telly’ inside with the rodents and birds.
