Product information "Cat Obesity Management Wet (12x100g)"

Royal Canin Cat Obesity Management Wet (12x100g)

For cats over 6 months
The individual target weight, the duration and the corresponding feed quantities are determined according to the degree of overweight. The optimal weight loss is 0.5 to 2 % per week. The daily ration should initially be based on a target weight reduction of approx. 15 % compared to the current weight. Cats with too fast weight loss are subject to the risk of a hepatic lipidosis.

Attention: OBESITY MANAGEMENT FELINE Wet is a complete diet for cats to reduce overweight. This food has a reduced energy content.

Important information:

  • Veterinary diet food may only be fed in consultation with the veterinarian.
  • During the treatment with a veterinary diet food, you should visit the veterinarian regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups.
  • If your pet's health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately.

Low energy density
The formula allows an increased daily feed amount with reduced calorie content, which can increase the satiation effect.

High protein content
The increased protein content supports the saturation and the preservation of the muscle substance.

Adapted starch content
A reduced starch content reduces the occurrence of postprandial hyperglycaemia.

Protection of the joints
Chondroitin sulphate (inhibits the enzymatic damage of chondrocytes) and glucosamine (stimulates the formation of new glycosaminoglycans) counteract degenerative joint diseases.

If your pet's health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately. GLMThe nutrients from the New Zealand green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) help to improve the clinical symptoms of joint disease in cats.EPA/DHAEicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are long-chain omega-3 fatty acids that can help modulate inflammatory reactions in the joints.Moderate phosphorus contentThe moderate phosphorus content helps to support kidney function, especially in older cats.Antioxidant complexA synergistic antioxidant combination (Vit. E, Vit. C, taurine, lutein) can protect the body cells from attacks by aggressive metabolic products, support the immune system and help prevent premature cell aging. In addition to glycosaminoglycans, GLM also contains the unique omega-3 fatty acid eicosatetraenoic acid (ETA, anti-inflammatory effect on the joints).
