Royal Canin Cat Satiety Weight Management Dry
For cats over 6 months
The individual target weight, feeding duration and quantities are determined according to the degree of obesity. The optimal weight reduction is 0.5–2% per week. Individualised and close monitoring is important because: Cats that lose weight too quickly are at risk of hepatic lipidosis. Once the target/ideal weight has been reached, the body weight should continue to be monitored regularly; SATIETY WEIGHT MANAGEMENT Feline or VET CARE NUTRITION foods for neutered cats are suitable as follow-up feeds. The energy intake should in any case be max. 10% higher than in the last reduction phase.
The reduction diet with SATIETY should be started with the portion sachets so that the pet owner can get a feel for the size of the ration. When using the larger packaging units, weighing the daily ration is recommended.
Important notes:
- Veterinary diet food must only be given in consultation with your vet.
- During treatment with veterinary diet food, you should regularly (approx. every 6 months) visit your vet for check-ups.
- If your pet's health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately.
Satiety
A special fibre combination can increase the cat’s feeling of satiety and help to prevent spontaneous energy intake.
Balanced nutrients
A balanced content of nutrients, minerals and vitamins helps to avoid deficiency symptoms during calorie reduction.
High protein content
A high protein content helps to maintain muscle mass during weight reduction.
Essential fatty acids
An optimal fatty acid content supports skin and coat health.
