Royal Canin Cat Diabetic Wet (12x100g)
For cats from 6 months after diagnosis of diabetes mellitus
The feeding of the diet should be maintained for life. Although diabetes mellitus may be reversible in cats, lifelong feeding and follow-up reduces the risk of relapse.
Attention: The use of this diet food increases the insulin sensitivity of the cat. It is therefore strongly recommended to measure the glucose or fructosamine content in the blood before starting this diet and, if necessary, to adjust the cat to a lower insulin dose.
Important information:
- Veterinary diet food may only be fed in consultation with the veterinarian.
- During the treatment with a veterinary diet food, you should visit the veterinarian regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups.
- If your pet's health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately.
Glucomodulation
The special formula helps in the management of postprandial elevated blood sugar in cats with diabetes mellitus.
High protein content
Maintaining muscle mass is essential in overweight cats with diabetes mellitus.
Moderate energy content
The moderate calorie content can help counteract excessive weight gain.
Adjusted starch content
The recipe contains a reduced proportion of starch.
