Healthy aquarium/healthy pond with near-natural conditions
The correct water values in the aquarium/pond depend on the fish population and the plants present. Even if the water looks clear, it may be polluted. If the values are poor, diseases or algae can form in the aquarium/pond. For a healthy aquarium/pond with near-natural conditions, it is important to regularly check and adjust the water values.
JBL offers water tests in the form of rapid tests or colour change tests for every water analysis. These determine a specific value or several values simultaneously. With these water tests, algae problems can be recognised and negative nitrate, nitrite, potassium, magnesium values etc. can be determined.
Why test?
Maintaining a suitable KH value as consistently as possible is an important prerequisite for the well-being of the aquarium and pond inhabitants and for aquatic plants to thrive. Carbonate hardness is one of the most important water values, as it keeps the pH value stable. The KH should never fall below 4 °dKH.
