Salvinia auriculata (Salvinia auriculata)
Salvinia auriculataSalvinia Auriculata (Brazilian salvinia) is a floating plant native to South America. It grows moderately quickly so that its population can be controlled. Easy to grow. Absorbs nitrogen to combat algae. Propagates by spreading.Difficulty of cultivation: easy to mediumLight requirement: medium to highCO₂ requirement: lowHeight of the adult plant: 0.5 cmGrowth: moderate to fastTemperature: 22 - 24°CPlacement in the aquarium: SurfaceOrigin: South and Central AmericaCup diameter 6 cmSalvinia Auriculata (Brazilian Salvinia) is a floating ornamental plant. It is native to the calm, still waters of South and Central America. It can be found from Paraguay to Cuba. It owes its popularity above all to its original appearance. Its small oval leaves with a diameter of 10 mm cm are arranged opposite each other on an elongated leaf stalk. These leaves are covered with fine hairs that trap air bubbles, allowing them to float. Depending on the light intensity, they are wavy or flat. Salvinia forms a third type of underwater leaves on which the spores are deposited.Like all floating plants, Salvinia is recommended for shady waters . Its great appetite for nitrogen and phosphorus compounds makes this plant a good ally in the fight against algae. Salvinia has low light and nutrient requirements. It grows well in both moderate and strong light. As a floating plant, it does not require a substrate but draws all the necessary nutrients directly from the water. During the vegetation period, it reproduces by spreading, whereby the growth rate is moderate. This makes it easy to control its growth and remove excess plants. It grows to a length of 3-6 cm and likes warm, humid air, so it is advisable to use a glass or cover when growing it.It should be placed in such a way that no condensation falls on the plants. It adapts very quickly to the new parameters. However, it should be borne in mind that it will die if there is too little light. It thrives best in soft to medium-hard water at 22-24°C. The in vitro culture of plants is carried out in tissue culture laboratories. Thanks to the sterile production conditions, the cuttings are free from snails, algae or pathogens.Planting:The plant must be removed from the cup and thoroughly rinsed of the gel under running water. This is best done by placing the plant in a container of lukewarm water. Most of the gel will then fall off by itself. Place the plant on the surface of the water.

Bucephalandra sp. Brownie
Bucephalandra sp. Browni Bucephalandra sp. Brownie is an aquarium plant from the island of Borneo. It grows naturally on rocks and roots. In the aquarium it should be attached to decorative elements.Difficulty of growing: easy to moderateLight requirements: lowCO₂ requirements: lowHeight of mature plant: 10 cmGrowth rate: SlowTemperature: 22-28°CPlacement in aquarium: second levelOrigin: Borneo Island, Southeast AsiaCup diameter: 6 cmBucephalandra sp. 'Brownie' is found in the wild on the Asian island of Borneo. Its striking, green-brown, glossy foliage gives it a very attractive appearance. In terms of requirements, it resembles Anubias. It is popular in aquascaping to create gorgeous underwater landscapes that require very little maintenance due to its moderate growth.Bucephalandra can also be grown in paludariums and terrariums. Bucephalandra sp. Brownie is a real rarity. In nature it grows in streams and rivers, but also on the slopes of waterfalls for example. The equatorial climate zone where Borneo is located is known for its abundant rainy seasons. As the rains come, the levels of the rivers rise, damming up Bucephalandra for months at a time. For this reason, the plant has taken on submersive characteristics. Under water it is more intensely colored and has a finer leaf structure.Bucephalandra sp. Brownie is an easy plant to grow, provided the right conditions are present. It does not make great demands on the parameters. It grows in both soft and medium hard water. It prefers a pH between 5 and 8. The light requirement of this species is low, and it thrives in partial shade and even in shade. If the conditions in the aquarium suit it, it will begin to produce offspring which can be detached and propagated. If allowed to grow, they will form a dense clump. It may also be that it blooms. In the background, attached to a root or rock, it makes the best figure. Dthe rhizomes of Bucephalandra in any case should not be covered with substrate. Outside the aquarium, this species is also excellent for paludariums, where it forms stiffer foliage. Bucephalanders are interesting plants that belong to the rheophytes. They have a prehensile root that keeps them on rocks, and they do not need a substrate to grow properly.Planting: The plant must be removed from the cup and thoroughly rinsed from the gel under running water. This is best done by placing the plant in a container of lukewarm water. Most of the gel will then fall off by itself. Divide the contents of the cup into 1-2 cm lumps and then put them on the selected items at a small distance..

DuplaRin Herbi Gel 35g
DuplaRin Herbi Gel 35g - self-adhesive feed paste High-quality staple food for herbivorous ornamental fish in freshwater and saltwater aquariums For self-mixing: adheres to aquarium glass, stones or roots - ideal for grazers and algae eatersWith DuplaRin Herbi Gel, you can offer your herbivorous ornamental fish a sophisticated staple food in the form of a self-adhesive feed paste for self-stirring. You place the finished paste directly in the aquarium, where it is actively grazed - for species-appropriate feeding behavior, targeted feeding areas and less feeding stress in structured tanks.Properties and advantages Self-adhesive food paste for self-mixing for herbivorous ornamental fish Suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariumsWith spirulina, seaweed (kelp), chlorella, alfalfa, mycoprotein, brewer's yeast and garlicPromotes coloration, digestion and immune defense Sticks to glass, stones or roots - ideal for grazers Stable in water; prepared paste can be kept airtight in the refrigerator for up to 14 days Contents: 35 gMany herbivorous ornamental fish prefer to eat "in passing": they graze on surfaces, nibble on growth and search specifically for plant components. This is exactly where DuplaRin Herbi Gel comes into its own. You simply mix the powder with water to form a homogeneous food paste and then apply it directly to the aquarium - for example on the aquarium glass, on stones or on roots. Your animals can actively graze the paste, which supports a very natural feeding behavior. The formula is clearly geared towards herbivorous species and combines selected components such as spirulina, seaweed (kelp), chlorella, alfalfa, mycoprotein, brewer's yeast and garlic. This makes DuplaRin Herbi Gel a strong basis as a daily staple food - especially for owners who value digestion, resistance and vibrant colors. Practical in everyday life: the paste retains its shape for a long time. You should remove any leftovers that are not eaten so that the water quality remains stable. If you want to make a stock, you can store the prepared paste in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 14 days. Zoo Roco tip Place several small feeding spots in the aquarium (e.g. at the front of the glass and also near a root). In this way, even lower-ranking algae eaters can reliably reach the food. Only mix as much gel food as will be grazed in a short time and consistently remove any leftovers - this is the easiest way to achieve stable water quality. JBL ProScan - Water analysis via smartphone app JBL ProScan - Water analysis with evaluation via smartphone app With JBL Pro Scan, the current aquarium water values can be determined quickly and easily via smartphone app. All you need to do is install the free JBL app from the Apple AppStore or Google PlayStore on your smartphone. Basic set: Contains 24 analysis strips (GH, KH, pH, nitrite, nitrate, chlorine and CO₂ calculation) with associated JBL ProScan ColorCard. The colour chart serves as a reference when scanning the analysis strip. The result is evaluated and, if necessary, instructions are displayed on how the water values can be optimised. The corresponding app is available free of charge. Refill set: 24 analysis strips for digital evaluation with the JBL ProScan app. Depending on the area of application, the app can be used in "Aquarium fresh water", "Garden pond water" and "Water" mode. If "Aquarium freshwater" and "Water" are selected, the app also automatically calculates the current CO2 content in the water from the values determined for pH and KH. Based on the results of the analysis, the app provides specific recommendations for action and information on how to achieve ideal water values. The "Water" function only provides the pure water values. The recording of the analysis strips and the calibration with the ColorCard should be carried out in bright daylight or artificial light. Direct sunlight should be avoided. The specified sequence of the app should always be followed during the measurement to ensure correct results. The app can be used in German and French. Instructions for use:After starting the app for the first time, a one-off calibration using the JBL ProScan ColourCard is required. This calibration can be carried out quickly and easily by anyone. Afterwards, the water values can be analysed and evaluated immediately in conjunction with the JBL ProScan analysis strips. Immerse the analysis strip in water for 1 second, shake it off and then place it on the reference colour card (JBL ProScan ColorCard). Select the water type with the free ProScan app (in the Apple store & Google PlayStore), scan the colour card like a QR code and wait briefly for the result (waiting time is carried out by the app). The result is displayed directly in mg/l, ° hardness and the pH value. The values are evaluated by the app (good - medium - bad) and recommendations for optimisation are displayed. The type of ambient light is automatically evaluated and taken into account for colour calibration. The JBL ProScan analysis strips have been specially adapted for evaluation with the colour chart. No accuracy can be guaranteed with other test strips.

JBL Nitrate Test NO3 - Quick test to determine the nitrate content in fresh and saltwater aquariums and pond Easy and reliable monitoring of the water values of aquariums and ponds Determines the ideal nitrate values to control the algae in freshwater and seawater Laboratory comparator system to compensate the inherent water colouring: fill plastic cuvette with sample water, add reagents to another cuvette, place both cuvettes in holder, read values on colour chart When to use: for setting up a new freshwater aquarium: once a week. For initial setup with marine water: once a week. In case of green algae problems 1 quick test, Nitrate Test NO3. Contents for approx. 50 tests, incl. 2 reagents, 2 glass vials with screw caps, syringe, dosing spoon, comparator block and colour scale. Refill reagents available separately Healthy aquarium/healthy pond with conditions close to natureThe right water values are dependent on the fish stock and the plants in the aquarium/pond. Even if the water looks clear it can be contaminated. With bad values diseases or algae can appear in the aquarium/pond. To maintain a healthy aquarium with conditions close to nature it is important to check and adapt the water values regularly. For each water analysis JBL provides water tests in the form of quick tests or colour change tests. These determine a certain value or several values in one go. With these water tests you can recognise algae problems and negative nitrate, nitrite, potassium, magnesium values etc. Why test?Nitrate is the end product of the mineralisation in the aquarium/pond. Even in relatively high concentrations it is non-toxic for fish, but has an adverse effect for plant growth and the well-being of many a fish species. Furthermore too high nitrate contents promote unwanted algae growth if phosphate is present in the water as well as nitrate.

JBL ProScape Plant Soil
Colors (2): brown | Litre : 3liter
JBL ProScape Plant Soil - substrate for aquascaping JBL ProScape PlantSoil - Brown or beige freshwater substrate for aquascaping Complete nutrient substrate for aquatic plants: Special substrate for aquascaping aquariums Vital plant growth: Optimum oxygen supply and circulation thanks to medium grain size Immediate plant supply with nutrients and minerals Tropical water values: Slightly acidic pH value and low carbonate hardness. Reduces water hardness - water becomes soft brown or beige Underwater gardenerAquascaping refers to the technique of designing aquarium landscapes. Imaginative plant arrangements, imitations of an above-water landscape or natural habitats can be created. An aquascaping aquarium contains little or no fish and invertebrates. This reduces the nutrient supply for plants and limits their growth. Nitrogen, phosphorus and other minerals become a scarce commodity and must be fertilized in a targeted manner. For healthy plant growth in a beautiful underwater landscape, plants need light, CO2 and the right nutrients. Rich in mineralsProScape Soils are special substrates that have been specially adapted to the needs of aquascapers. Soils are not water-neutral, but have a softening effect. They soften the water and slightly acidify it so that the pH value moves into the slightly acidic range. JBL Plant-Soils are highly nutrient-loaded to provide the plants with nutrients and minerals immediately, whereas ShrimpsSoils are nutrient-poor. Application:Rinse the substrate briefly under tap water to remove any abrasion caused by transportation. To prevent the minerals from accumulating in the water, change 50% of the water every 2 - 3 days for the first two weeks after filling. As the influence on the water values depends on the initial water and the intervals between water changes, the softening effect decreases over time. Calculation formula for the correct amount of substrate: Length (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm) : 1000 = liters of JBL ProScape Plant Soil

Alternanthera Reineckii 'Lilacina' (parrot leaf)
Alternanthera Reineckii (Parrot Leaf)Alternanthera Reineckii 'Lilacina' is a beautiful red plant for the background or back wall of an aquarium. A very decorative plant, exceptionally colorful.Difficulty of cultivation: demandingLight requirements: highCO₂ requirements: mediumHeight of mature plant: up to 40 cmGrowth rate: slowTemperature: 17-28°CAquarium location: foreground, backgroundOrigin: South AmericaCup diameter 6 cmAlternanthera Reineckii 'Lilacina' is also called Lilac Alternanthera. It is intended for the second level of the aquarium or for the background. This species has been cultivated for a long time. The natural habitat of this species is the tropical regions of South America, where it grows in swamps and on the banks of rivers and lakes. It is a typical marsh plant. For this reason, it likes to grow above the water level, ideal for aquariums with low water levels. The stems above the water are often covered with tiny white or purple flowers. This variety has elongated, lance-shaped leaves that can grow up to 9.5 cm long.It is propagated by cuttings. It is recommended to place a few cuttings in a group to obtain a compact form. However, for the plant to develop all its beauty, it must find the right conditions. It grows best in soft to medium hard water up to 12 GH with a pH of 5 to 7. It is an extremely light-loving variety. It likes full spectrum light best. Intense light for 10 hours per day makes it grow faster and produces beautiful dark red leaves. Alternantera 'Lilacina' also needs CO₂ fertilization for lush growth. This can be done at a medium level, so between 6 and 14 mg/l. A deficiency of macro- and micronutrients is immediately noticeable in the form of changes in the leaf blades. The best substrate for this variety is a active substrate of good quality; it also grows well and happily in garden soil. It forms a poorly developed root system, consisting of a single bundle of thin and tender roots. It is worth cutting this plant back, and the cut shoots can be planted directly into the soil to obtain new cuttings. Planting: The plant must be removed from the cup and thoroughly rinsed from the gel under running water. This is best done by placing the plant in a container of lukewarm water. Most of the gel will then fall off by itself. Divide the contents of the cup into 1-2 cm lumps and then place them at a small distance..
