Originally, the three monkeys named Mizaru (see no evil), Kikazaru (hear no evil) and Iwazaru (speak no evil) come from a Japanese proverb based on one of Confucius's teachings. Nowadays, the three monkeys are known as Minai, Kikanai and Iwanai. Over the centuries, they have become a symbol of moral courage and are well-known lucky charms. The Tiger Lotus is widespread in tropical Africa and colonizes a wide variety of waters there - temporary ponds and lakes on the one hand, but also flowing waters on the other. It has a tuber as a storage organ with strong floating leaves. The most beautiful thing about this plant, however, are the submerged juvenile leaves, which do not reach the surface of the water. Of the two color forms, the red tiger lotus is the most popular among aquarists; however, its green color form is rarely found in the trade. Tiger lotus are quite undemanding, older and larger leaves are always removed at the base of the tuber.

The colour chart serves as a reference when scanning the analysis strip.

24 analysis strips for digital evaluation with the JBL ProScan app.
Depending on the area of application, the app can be used in "Aquarium fresh water", "Garden pond water" and "Water" mode. If "Aquarium freshwater" and "Water" are selected, the app also automatically calculates the current CO2 content in the water from the values determined for pH and KH.
Based on the results of the analysis, the app provides specific recommendations for action and information on how to achieve ideal water values. The "Water" function only provides the pure water values.
The recording of the analysis strips and the calibration with the ColorCard should be carried out in bright daylight or artificial light. Direct sunlight should be avoided. The specified sequence of the app should always be followed during the measurement to ensure correct results. The app can be used in German and French.
Instructions for use:After starting the app for the first time, a one-off calibration using the JBL ProScan ColourCard is required. This calibration can be carried out quickly and easily by anyone. Afterwards, the water values can be analysed and evaluated immediately in conjunction with the JBL ProScan analysis strips. Immerse the analysis strip in water for 1 second, shake it off and then place it on the reference colour card (JBL ProScan ColorCard). Select the water type with the free ProScan app (in the Apple store & Google PlayStore), scan the colour card like a QR code and wait briefly for the result (waiting time is carried out by the app). The result is displayed directly in mg/l, ° hardness and the pH value. The values are evaluated by the app (good - medium - bad) and recommendations for optimisation are displayed. The type of ambient light is automatically evaluated and taken into account for colour calibration. The JBL ProScan analysis strips have been specially adapted for evaluation with the colour chart. No accuracy can be guaranteed with other test strips.

Striking aquatic plant with parchment-like and strongly corrugated leaves. This species of water spike is very popular in aquariums. Older plants can have up to 50 leaves - an impressive sight. The ideal water temperature is 24-28 °C, which is higher than for the other water lilies: Remove the tuber and place it in a pot with sand.
