Lucky Reptile Tortoise Bedding hält die Feuchtigkeit, bleibt dabei trittstabil, trotzdem locker und schimmelt nicht. Es ist nicht nur geruchsneutral, sondern bindet Gerüche aktiv. Durch seine weiche, faserreiche Struktur und den Verzicht auf Sand schadet es auch nicht, falls es mal versehentlich mit gefressen wird und kommt der gesunden Panzerentwicklung der Schildkröten zugute. Stumpfe, abgeriebene Panzer werden dadurch vermieden. Durch seine luftige und lockere Struktur isoliert Tortoise Bedding und federt Temperaturschwankungen ab, wenn die Tiere vergraben sind. Zugesetzte natürliche Tonmineralien sorgen für eine gleichbleibende Substratfeuchte, weshalb es von Landschildkröten auch gerne als Eiablagesubstrat angenommen wird.
