Très satisfait

Le paquet était bien plein de collemboles et la terre très bonne pour ce qui faut : voyager aisément vers moi et partir vers ma colonie de fourmis. Pour l'instant on dirait une cohabitation pacifique et symbiotique.

Jumping helpers

I deliberately waited until the temperatures were warmer again. It was definitely worth it! The half litre I ordered was full of live springtails. I put them in my biotope, and a week has now passed and the springtails are happily doing their thing: removing plant debris and the like. Many thanks to Zoo Roco.

MossBase powder 40g
Shroomroom MossBase 40 g - for terrariums and paludariums Moldable base for moss-covered back walls or cavesShroomroom MossBase is a natural decoration and design element in powder form (40 g), developed for creative landscapes in terrariums and paludariums. Mixed with water, it creates a mass with which you can prepare dry surfaces in a targeted manner in order to realistically design decorative moss areas. Properties and advantages Natural decorative powder for creating moss surfaces in terrariums and paludariums Is mixed with water to form a malleable mass (typically 40 g powder with approx. 80 ml water) Unique consistency for preparing dry surfaces for moss growth Ideal as a base for the targeted placement of moss spores and plant seeds Perfect for creating moss-covered backgrounds or nature-like landscapesIf you want to create natural scenes in your terrarium or paludarium with moss areas, overgrown back walls or detailed transitions, Shroomroom MossBase is a well thought-out design aid. The product is supplied as a powder and is mixed with water to form a malleable mass. A typical mixture is 40 g powder to around 80 ml water, which creates a consistency that is easy to model. The mixed mixture is suitable for preparing dry surfaces so that mosses adhere better later and can be integrated decoratively. MossBase is particularly exciting in combination with Shroomroom MossMix: as a base, it helps you to fix moss, fern or spore material specifically to the desired substrate in order to achieve lasting, convincing, nature-like looks. Important for correct application: Shroomroom MossBase is a purely decorative design element. It is not a substrate for plant growth, a fertilizer or a growth promoter. You use the product exactly where it has its strengths: in detailed, near-natural terrarium and paludarium design. Zoo Roco tip Apply MossBase in thin layers and create soft transitions so that the surface looks natural later on. Preferably place moss areas in zones where your setup offers the right microclimate. For particularly realistic results, many terrarium builders work with a base of MossBase and then apply MossMix in precise areas instead of covering the entire surface.Customers searched for: MossBase, Shroomroom MossBase, moss back wall terrarium, moss surface modeling, paludarium moss wall, terrascaping moss, attach moss to terrarium, MossMix, moss-covered background

Drosophila mite separator
Drosophila Mite Separator The Drosophila mite separator is a practical aid for the hygienic preparation of feeder insects. Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) mini

Mealworms mini (Tenebrio molitor) The mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) is actually the beetle larva of the meal beetle. It hatches from an egg and, after moulting several times, grows to a size of approx. 25 mm. For birds in small quantities also for reptiles The mealworm is actually the beetle larva of the meal beetle. It hatches from an egg and, after moulting several times, grows to a size of approx. 25 mm. Finally, the beetle larva pupates, from which another beetle emerges. Mealworms are among the oldest commercially bred feeder animals. They are relatively easy to breed and are produced in large quantities. Mealworms are actually pests, mainly known from grain mills, as the larvae prefer to feed on flour or its by-products. As it is not possible to use insecticides in mills, it is difficult to control them if infested. Mealworms are classic food for soft-feeding birds. For this purpose, hundreds of tonnes of the beetle larvae are produced in Europe every year. A bird's stomach is well prepared for this type of food. A mealworm consists mainly of a hard, chitinous shell and, due to its rather simple diet, contains only a few nutrients. However, the stomach of a reptile is not well prepared for these conditions. If too many or only mealworms are fed to reptiles, deficiency symptoms or obesity may occur. It can also be seen from the faecal residues of the animals that mealworms are only insufficiently digested. Feeding the mealworms with vegetables or fruit before feeding them only results in a certain vitaminisation, which could also be achieved by dusting the beetle larvae with a vitamin preparation. The high fat content of the mealworms is another reason why the larvae should only be given to reptiles as supplementary food. For many bird enthusiasts, however, they are the basic food for their pets and are mainly bred for this purpose. At temperatures below 10 degrees C. the animals become motionless but are not dead. This can be used to advantage for storage. At temperatures of 6-8 degrees C. the animals can be stored for several weeks without food.Order by Sunday evening - delivery on Thursday Orders received by Sunday evening will be sent by A-Post on Wednesday or Thursday. Please provide a recipient address where the parcel can be delivered. We accept no responsibility for parcels that are delivered late or collected late. Desert locust (Schistozerca gregaria) small The desert locust (Schistozerca gregaria) is one of the largest commercially bred food animals. Females reach a total length with wings of over 75 mm in some cases. popular food animal for reptiles and amphibians larger than the migratory locust small The desert locust is one of the largest commercially bred food animals. Females reach a total length with wings of over 75 mm in some cases. Males usually remain somewhat smaller. This means that desert locusts are up to 30% larger than, for example, the migratory locust (Locusta migratoria). The animals are pink-grey in colour after moulting. Over the next 6-10 days, the colouring changes, especially in the males, to a strong yellow. However, the animals have the most beautiful colouring and patterning during the juvenile and subadult stage. Here, the animals are also coloured lemon yellow with a black pattern. It is precisely this colouring that arouses the prey drive in many reptile species, which makes the desert locust particularly popular with many terrarium keepers.Unfortunately, the desert locust is not as productive as the migratory locust and rearing the animals takes up to 2/3 longer. On the other hand, it can be bred almost all year round, as it is not too demanding on special types of food.As a feeder insect, the desert locust is also particularly suitable because it usually survives shipping even in extreme heat and cold without damage and can also survive for up to 2 weeks after shipping without additional food.Desert locusts are generally accepted by all lizards. Experience has shown that they are particularly popular with large lizards such as bearded dragons, water dragons, basilisks, monitors, frilled lizards etc. They are particularly popular with many chameleon species, as these are particularly attracted to the yellow colouring of juvenile and subadult animals. Show Box
Repto Show Box: Transport safely and present with minimal stressThe Repto Show Box is ideal for temporary housing during transport or for displaying reptiles, amphibians and insects. Five dark sides give the animals a greater sense of security and reduce stress, while the transparent lid enables quick checks.Product benefits:Reduces stress during relocation, transport or at exhibitions/fairsA sense of security thanks to darkened sides – animals remain calmerQuick checks without unnecessary opening thanks to the transparent lidUser-friendly design: the lid is easy to openFor a tidy reptile room: multiple boxes can be securely stackedTechnical dataDimensions: 35 × 24 × 11 cmLid: split (1/3 + 2/3), easy to openDesign: 5 black sides, transparent lidUse: Transport / Presentation / Short-term accommodationWhen animals are being moved, temporarily housed or displayed, one thing matters above all else: as little stress as possible. This is exactly what the Repto Show Box is designed for. It is ideal for transporting and displaying reptiles, amphibians or insects – for example, during inspections, routine handling or at terrarium fairs where safe and clearly organised accommodation is required.A key feature is the five dark sides. They reduce visual stimuli, create a sheltered environment, and make many animals feel significantly safer than in fully transparent boxes. This can help animals to remain calmer and be easier to handle. At the same time, the dark background provides a clear contrast, making observation and presentation more pleasant – without permanently ‘putting the animals on display’.The transparent lid provides a practical alternative: you can quickly check the contents without having to open the box every time. This is particularly helpful when you’re on the move or want to keep an eye on several boxes. The lid is easy to open and is divided into 1/3 and 2/3 sections. This allows you to open just one section if needed – handy for a quick check without causing unnecessary disturbance. The box also scores highly in terms of organisation: it is designed for easy stacking. This allows you to house several animals or different species in a clear and orderly manner and store them in a space-saving way – ideal for breeders, foster homes or terrarium enthusiasts with multiple projects. Important: The ‘ Repto ’ Show Box is intended for temporary housing. For long-term care, you should always use a species-appropriate terrarium with suitable climate control and interior fittings.Zoo Roco tip: To minimise stress, place a piece of kitchen roll or a non-slip mat inside (depending on the species) – this provides grip and makes cleaning easier. During transport, keep the box in a calm, vibration-free environment and out of direct sunlight. For longer journeys: keep an eye on the temperature in the car and avoid draughts.
