Schwebe- oder Glasgarnelen (Mysidacea) sind in der Aquaristik ein weit verbreitetes Futter für Fische und Wirbellose., aber auch für etliche größere Süßwasserfische und Wasserschildkröten geeignet.

Schwebegarnelen sind nur entfernt mit den eigentlichen Garnelen verwandt und gehören nicht wie sie zu den Zehnfußkrebsen (Decapoda), sondern zu den Peracarida (Ranzenkrebse).
