JBL NovoStick M enthält alle speziell auf die Ernährungsbedürfnisse fleischfressender Cichliden und anderer grösserer Aquarienfische abgestimmten Bestandteile in ausgewogener Mischung: Fisch und Fischnebenerzeugnisse, Getreide, Algen, Hefen und tierische Nebenerzeugnisse. Lebenswichtige Vitamine und Naturextrakte sorgen für gesundes Wachstum, kräftige Farben und fördern die Widerstandskraft. Dank der Darreichungsform als kleine Sticks wird NovoStick M besonders gern aufgenommen und sorgt für eine schnelle Sättigung grösserer Cichliden und anderer Grossfische im Aquarium. Es kann mehrmals täglich gefüttert werden, jedoch nur kleine Portionen, die in wenigen Minuten aufgezehrt sind.

- Bei räuberischen Fischen verschiebt sich das Protein-Fettverhältnis stark in Richtung höherem Proteinanteil.
- Durch Insektenlarven und Krebse weist die natürliche Nahrung der meisten tropischen Zierfische ein Protein-Fettverhältnis von ca. 4:1 auf. Nur Fischräuber erhalten durch die eiweißreiche Fischfleischnahrung einen höheren Proteingehalt und daher besitzt ihre Nahrung ein P:F Verhältnis von ca. 12:1. Mitbewerber bieten meist Futter an, das ein P:F Verhältnis von z. B. 2,5:1 zeigt. Solches Futter enthält zuviel Fett! Dies führt bei Fischen, die im Aquarium oft weniger Bewegung als in der Natur haben, zu einer Verfettung und damit zu Krankheitsanfälligkeit oder Tod. JBL hat die Futtersorten an die artgerechten P:F Verhältnisse angepasst.
