Product information "Wildcat Fel Adult Weight Management Turkey"
Wildcat VetLine Weight Management Turkey
Wildcat VetLine Weight Management with 55% turkey. Low-fat wet diet food for weight control and glucose regulation in adult cats. Available in 85 g and 200 g.
WILDCAT VetLine Weight Management is a specially formulated complete dietetic food for adult cats that supports controlled weight loss and can be used to regulate glucose levels in cases of diabetes mellitus. The balanced formula combines high-quality animal proteins with reduced fat and energy content, as well as satiating dietary fibre.
Being overweight can significantly affect a cat’s health and quality of life. Even a few hundred grams of extra weight can place a noticeable strain on smaller cats. The specially formulated weight-management diet helps to gradually reduce body weight whilst ensuring an adequate supply of nutrients.
With 55% turkey as the main ingredient, this wet food provides high-quality animal proteins that help maintain muscle mass during weight loss. The low fat content of just 2%, combined with the adjusted energy content, supports a controlled calorie intake.
An increased fibre content of 1.5% crude fibre helps to prolong the feeling of fullness. In this way, the food can help to limit feelings of hunger during a weight-loss diet.
The grain-free formula contains selected sources of carbohydrates such as sweet potatoes and pumpkin. The low starch and sugar content is tailored to the nutritional needs of cats with diabetes mellitus and supports a more consistent supply of glucose.
The formula is enriched with cranberries, Jerusalem artichokes, alfalfa and seaweed, as well as prebiotic fibres such as fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS). These can help maintain a balanced gut flora and support regular digestion.
Glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate are further components of the formula. They support joint metabolism, which is particularly important for overweight cats, as excess body weight places additional strain on the joints.
The salmon oil contained in this product provides valuable fatty acids that contribute to normal skin and coat function.
WILDCAT VetLine Weight Management was developed in collaboration with vets and nutritionists. The formula is free from grains, added maize, soya and artificial flavour enhancers.
The wet food is available in handy 85 g and 200 g sizes. This allows you to tailor the portion sizes to your cat’s individual dietary needs.
This is a complete dietetic feed. It should only be used following veterinary advice, particularly for cats with diabetes mellitus.

Instructions for use
WILDCAT VetLine Weight Management is a complete dietetic feed for adult cats designed to reduce excess weight and regulate glucose levels in cases of diabetes mellitus.
This should only be used after consulting a vet. The amount of food should be based in particular on your cat’s ideal weight, physical condition, activity level and individual state of health.
When reducing weight, the daily food ration should be adjusted to the target weight. Weight loss must be slow and controlled.
We recommend dividing the daily ration into several smaller meals and monitoring your cat’s body weight regularly.
For cats with diabetes mellitus, particularly careful coordination of feeding, blood sugar control and any insulin treatment is required. A change in diet may alter the cat’s insulin requirements.
Changing your cat’s diet
- Unless otherwise recommended by your vet, the change in diet should be made gradually over a period of around 14 days. During this time, monitor your cat’s food intake, general well-being and the consistency of its stools.
Recommended duration of use
- For weight loss until the target body weight is reached and, if necessary, subsequently to maintain weight
- To regulate glucose levels in cases of diabetes mellitus, initially for up to 6 months
Veterinary advice should be sought before use and before extending the feeding period.
Important notes
- Not suitable for kittens
- Not suitable for pregnant or nursing cats
- Weigh out food portions accurately and take any extra treats into account
- Do not aim for rapid or uncontrolled weight loss
- Provide fresh drinking water at all times
- Store opened packets in the fridge and use them up promptly
- If an overweight cat suddenly stops eating, veterinary advice should be sought immediately
Zoo Roco Tip
Overweight is a frequently underestimated problem in cats. Indoor cats and neutered cats in particular can quickly put on weight if they get little exercise and consume too many calories.
Wildcat VetLine Weight Management combines a high proportion of turkey with a low fat content and satiating fibre. This means the food can effectively support weight loss under veterinary supervision.
Weigh your cat regularly and keep a record of its weight changes. This allows even small changes to be detected at an early stage.
It is best to use kitchen scales for the daily food ration. Even small extra portions and treats can affect the success of a weight-loss diet.
Supplement the adjusted diet with playful exercise. Short, regular play sessions with a cat teaser or a suitable interactive toy can encourage your cat to be more active.
It is particularly important: cats must not be allowed to go hungry. Losing weight too quickly can cause serious metabolic problems. You should therefore ensure that the weight loss is supervised by a vet.
