Product information "Wildcat Fel Adult Urinary Chicken"
Wildcat VetLine Urinary Chicken
WILDCAT VetLine Urinary Chicken with 62 % chicken. Grain-free wet diet food for dissolving struvite stones and reducing their recurrence. In 85 g and 200 g.
WILDCAT VetLine Adult Urinary Chicken is a specially developed complete dietetic feed for adult cats with certain lower urinary tract conditions. The balanced recipe supports the dissolution of struvite stones and helps to reduce the risk of their re-formation.
Urinary tract problems are relatively common in cats. The term FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease) covers various diseases of the lower urinary tract. These include, amongst others, cystitis, urinary crystals and urinary stones. Not all of these diseases have the same cause and therefore require targeted veterinary clarification.
Struvite crystals and struvite stones occur particularly frequently. They consist of magnesium, ammonium and phosphate and can form, amongst other things, if the urine pH value is too high.
The recipe of WILDCAT VetLine Urinary Chicken has urine-acidifying properties. The addition of DL-methionine specifically influences the urine pH value. In combination with an adjusted magnesium and phosphorus content, this can help to dissolve existing struvite stones and reduce the risk of renewed struvite stone formation.
With 62 % chicken as the main ingredient, the wet food provides animal proteins and offers a hearty taste. Chicken contains important amino acids and contributes to a diet that meets the needs of adult cats.
The grain-free recipe is supplemented with sweet potatoes, cranberries, Jerusalem artichoke, lucerne and nettle. In addition, the food contains the prebiotic fibres mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), which can support a balanced gut flora.
With a moisture content of 79 %, the wet food supports daily fluid intake. Adequate water intake is particularly important for cats with urinary tract problems, as a greater urine volume can contribute to diluting the urine.
WILDCAT VetLine Urinary was developed in collaboration with vets and nutrition scientists. The recipe is grain-free and contains no added maize, no soya and no flavour enhancers.
The wet diet food is available in the practical sizes of 85 g and 200 g. This makes it possible to adapt the portion size to your cat’s individual feeding requirements.

Instructions for use
WILDCAT VetLine Adult Urinary Chicken is a complete dietetic feed for adult cats for dissolving struvite stones and reducing their recurrence.
Feeding should only take place after veterinary clarification. Not all urinary tract problems and urinary stone types respond to acidification of the urine. Therefore, it is important to have the cause of the symptoms determined before use.
The stated quantities are guideline values. The actual requirement depends, amongst other things, on your cat’s body weight, age, activity and state of health.
Recommended duration of use
- For the dissolution of struvite stones, usually 5 to 12 weeks
- For reducing the recurrence of struvite stones, initially up to 6 months
- Veterinary advice should be sought before use and before extending the feeding period
Change of food
- Unless otherwise recommended by a vet, the change to the new food should take place gradually over approximately 14 days.
- In the case of acute urinary tract problems, an immediate change of food may be necessary. In this case, follow the veterinary instructions
Important notes
- Not suitable for kittens
- Not suitable for pregnant or nursing cats
- Do not use in chronic renal insufficiency
- Do not use in heart failure
- Not suitable for reducing calcium oxalate stone formation
- Do not combine with additional urine-acidifying preparations without veterinary recommendation
- Provide fresh drinking water at all times
- Store opened packs in a cool place and use promptly
If your cat frequently visits the litter tray but cannot pass any urine or only very little urine, there is a suspicion of urethral obstruction. This is a veterinary emergency and requires immediate veterinary help.
Zoo Roco Tip
Adequate water intake plays an important role in cats with urinary tract problems. Many cats naturally drink only a little, which is why wet food can be a sensible way to increase daily fluid intake.
WILDCAT VetLine Urinary Chicken contains 79 % moisture and thus supports your cat’s fluid intake.
Place several water bowls in different, quiet locations. Many cats prefer drinking places that are not directly next to the food or the litter tray.
A cat fountain can also help to promote water intake. Some cats show greater interest in running water.
Also ensure there are enough clean litter trays and an environment that is as stress-free as possible. Stress can promote lower urinary tract complaints, especially in sensitive cats.
Struvite stones and calcium oxalate stones require different nutritional measures. A urine-acidifying diet such as WILDCAT VetLine Urinary is therefore not suitable for every type of urinary stone.
Have the success of the treatment checked regularly by veterinary urine tests.
