Die Durchflussgeschwindigkeit des Wassers durch das Filtermaterial kann so in einem grossen Bereich eingestellt werden (i.d.R. ca. 5 – 10 cm/min.), aber auch jenseits von 10 cm/min. liegen (berechnet nach Deters, www.deters-ing.de)
Kann mit entsprechenden handelsüblichen Luftpumpen (ca. 3 bis 10/15 Watt je nach Fabrikat und Version) äußerst preisgünstig betrieben werden
