Micranthemum umbrosum ist eine zierliche Aquarienpflanze aus den USA. Ihre rundlichen Blättchen werden ca. ½ Zentimeter groß und sind von leuchtend hellgrüner Farbe. Als typisch lichthungrige Pflanze mag sie keine zu hohen Temperaturen. Wie die Hemianthus micranthemoides kann man auch sie mit einer scharfen Schere gut in Form schneiden.
