Notes  

This tuberous plant from north-west Madagascar is highly recommended for aquaria. It is quite easy to grow, you only need to provide sufficient space. The wavy leaf edges are very decorative and show to best effect in calm plantings, e.g. in combination with Mayaca moss. A. longiplumulosus can be kept in the aquarium for years. In the dormant phase it stops growing; after a few months, new leaves will emerge again. Removal of the tuber is not required.
