User guide:
Ensure that the regulator is fully off before you mount the regulator on the CO2 cartridge.
Fill the diffuser-chamber with water.
Place the cartridge in the rack, slide the suction cups on the hose and mount the hose to the regulator and the diffuser.
Mount the diffuser with the suction cups at the inner side of the tank near the bottom and place the hose in the back corner.
Leave the diffuser for 24h in the tank to ensure the ceramic disc is fully moistened.
Open the regulator carefully and count the number of bubbles per minute in the diffuser-chamber.
Wait 5 minutes, adjust and repeat until the number of bubbles per minute is similar to the recommendation in the table.
The table shows recommended dosage (bubbles per minute) in different tank sizes. A 95 g CO2 cartridge contains 50,000 ml CO2.
The most important nutrient for plants is CO2.
The natural CO2 level in an aquarium is 0-0.5 mg/L of water.Even the slightest addition of CO2 can make a big difference improving the growth and vigour of the plants.
If the aquarium contains only slow-growing Easy-plants, the addition of CO2 gas into the water should reach a level of approx. 3 mg/L to ensure good growth conditions.
For Medium category plants the CO2 requirement is approximately 10 mg/L and for Advanced plants approx. 25 mg/L.
*) If you have a larger aquarium containing Medium or Advanced plants, the lifetime of a nano-cartridge will be too short. In this case we recommend a larger cylinder e.g. 2 kg refillable.

Disposable CO2 bottleThis disposable CO₂bottle supplies your aquarium plants with their main nutrient, carbon dioxide (CO₂). Turn the pressure regulating fitting with internal thread onto the external thread (M10x1) of the supply bottles, and you are ready to go. The pressure bottle should always stand vertically as long as it is in use.Scope of delivery: disposable cylinder, ready-filled with 1.2 kg CO₂, dimensions: approx. 45 × 10 cm, thread M10x1Easy installationIncluding mounted rubber standTÜV-testedTotal height with mounted pressure reducer: 37 cmCO₂ disposable bottle or CO₂ reusable bottle? There are two different types of bottle: Disposable bottles, which are disposed of as well as recycled after emptying, and reusable bottles, which could be refilled again and again. Refilling can be done by pet shops and gas companies. If you live in a region where refilling is problematic, for example, the disposable bottle would be an alternative. If the refilling situation improves, you can convert the disposable pressure reducer into a reusable pressure reducer in 2 minutes by screwing on the adapter (JBL PROFLORA CO2 ADAPT u-m). Aquarists who live on islands, for example, are sometimes not allowed to transport filled reusable bottles on ferries or planes. Disposable bottles are then sometimes allowed! (Please always clarify exactly)The size of the bottle often depends on the cupboard below where the CO₂-supply bottle is placed: a 500 g disposable bottle is only 31 cm high (plus pressure reducer = 37 cm), a 500 g reusable bottle with stand is already 43 cm and a 2000 g bottle 45.5 cm high. In principle, of course, a larger bottle is advantageous because it simply needs to be replaced or refilled less often.
JBL Taifun Inline 16/22The right amount of CO2 in the water is essential for aquarium plants. That is why the JBLTaifun Inline 16/22 is an efficient solution for the needs of your plants in the aquarium. The plants use the CO₂ as their main nutrient and through photosynthesis they supply the aquarium with important oxygen. This also has the benefit of combating algae formation, removing pollutants, providing hiding places and reducing disease. Inside the diffuser is a special membrane through which the CO₂ diffuses into the aquarium water, which is pumped back into the aquarium by the external filter. The tiny CO2 bubbles dissolve excellently in the water and save about 20% compared to other CO₂ diffusers. The direct diffuser should be integrated into the hose as close as possible to the external filter tank to extend the distance of the CO₂ in the hose as much as possible. A vertical installation position allows the best readability of the integrated bubble counter. Efficient CO₂ enrichment in the aquarium. Optimal for plants Integrated bubble counterSupplied with a diffuser, wall bracket, suction cups and screw fixings.

Healthy fish and plantsThe pH value defines the acidity of the water. It needs to be constantly checked and adjusted as necessary to maintain the health of the fish and plants. The right pH value depends on the fish stock of the aquarium. The wrong pH value can cause stress and diseases. Using an electrode the value can be precisely measured.Cleaning and care of electrodesBacteria, lime and other impurities which settle on the electrode can falsify the real pH value. The regular cleaning and calibration of the electrode ensure precise measurement and an unaltered pH value. Electrodes always need to be stored in a humid place.Safe storageSmall bottle with screw cap for repeated use.

Most aquarium fish come from tropical waters and need water temperatures between 22 and 30 °C. In community aquariums with fish/invertebrates from different regions, a water temperature of 24-26 °C has shown to be effective. 30 °C is only suitable for some fish breeding (e.g. discus fish). Many shrimp species come from cooler waters and do not tolerate temperatures of 25-30°C. The water temperature should be set with a "regulated heater" which regulates the temperature automatically. For this purpose, there are rod-shaped heaters which are fixed in the aquarium (JBL ProTemp s) in various wattage and external heaters/in-line heaters which are integrated in the water-returning hose of an external filter (JBL ProTemp e) in two wattage. The advantage of external heaters is that it is one less product to be placed INSIDE the aquarium and the distribution of heat in the aquarium is more even. In addition, the digital display of the external heater always clearly shows the current water temperature. Under gravel heating is NOT used to set the water temperature. An under gravel heating cable ensures a better flow of water through the substrate of the aquarium, as the heated water at the heating cable rises and colder water flows into the areas between the heating cables. Thus, nutrients are flushed to the plant roots and ensure optimal plant growth. Under gravel heating cables must always be supplemented by a "main heater" (JBL ProTemp s or e).
