Back wall structure for terrariums & paludariums

The Repto Palu Foam in the size 100 × 50 × 5 cm is a high-quality, textured back panel for the individual design of terrariums, paludariums or wetland biotopes. With its natural-looking surface, this foam module is ideal as a base for planted back walls, waterfalls or climbing areas for reptiles, amphibians and tropical plants.

The so-called Dendroplate is dimensionally stable, easy to work with and can be cut, drilled or modeled. The open-pored structure provides optimum support for moss, perching plants or silicone glue - ideal for bioactive set-ups.

➼ Possible applications

As a drainage layer: Place the foam sheet on the floor of the terrarium to create a drainage layer. This helps to drain excess water and prevents the substrate from becoming saturated. Use a water-permeable cloth or fine filter material on top of the foam sheet to prevent fine soil mixtures from getting into the foam layer.
As a filter medium: The Repto Palu Foam can also be used as a biological filter medium in the water section of a paludarium. Its open structure makes it easy for beneficial bacteria to colonize and thus contributes to healthy water quality.
For plant roots: The foam plate provides a stable surface to which plant roots can attach. This is particularly useful for growing mosses such as Java or liverwort, which will quickly overgrow the foam board. This contributes to a natural look and a healthy growing environment.
Easy to cut: The foam sheet is easy to cut to size with a sharp knife to fit perfectly in your terrarium or paludarium. This makes it a versatile solution for various applications.
