Product information "Dog Hepatic Dry"

Royal Canin Dog Hepatic Dry

For adult dogs
The duration of feeding varies depending on the severity of the symptoms and the liver's ability to regenerate. Lifelong use may be necessary in cases of chronic liver disease. To reduce postprandial liver stress, it is advisable to divide the daily portion into several small meals.

Important notes:

  • Veterinary diet food may only be given in consultation with the vet.
  • During treatment with a veterinary diet food, you should consult the vet regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups.
  • If the pet's state of health deteriorates, seek immediate veterinary advice.

Vegetable proteins
Highly digestible vegetable protein (soya protein isolate) is very well tolerated by dogs with hepatic encephalopathy and helps to counteract hyperammonaemia.

Reduced copper content
The low copper and high zinc content limits the storage of copper in liver cells and helps to prevent liver cell degeneration.

Protection through antioxidants
A synergistic combination of antioxidants (vitamin E, vitamin C, taurine, lutein) can protect the body's cells from attacks by aggressive metabolic products.

High energy content
The provision of energy from fat in conjunction with a moderately reduced content of high-quality protein lowers protein breakdown and thus minimises the risk or progression of hepatic encephalopathy.

Dog Gastro Intestinal Dry
Weight: 2kg
Royal Canin Dog Gastro Intestinal Dry For adult dogsThe optimum duration of treatment varies depending on the extent of the gastrointestinal symptoms. In chronic cases, lifelong treatment may be necessary. Dogs that tend to gain weight should be switched to GASTRO INTESTINAL MODERATE CALORIE for long-term feeding. To optimise digestive function, the daily ration should be divided into several meals.Fermentable fibres (dried beet pulp, FOS) support intestinal motility and the microflora of the intestine. Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) stimulate the local immune system of the intestine (IgA). Important notes: Veterinary diet food should only be given after consulting your vet. During treatment with a veterinary diet food, you should see the vet regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups. If your pet’s health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately. High digestive securityHighly digestible proteins reduce intestinal fermentation processes. Fermentable fibres (FOS) support a balanced intestinal flora.High energy contentThe high energy density enables the feeding of small meals and relieves the intestine.High acceptanceDogs with digestive disorders often suffer from poor appetite and weight loss. High palatability promotes spontaneous food intake and thus recovery.EPA/DHAEicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. These can help to reduce inflammatory processes in the intestine. Dog Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie Dry
Weight: 1.5kg
Royal Canin Dog Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie Dry For dogs prone to weight gain5 to 12 weeks, or until the struvite crystals/stones have dissolved. In the case of urinary tract infections, the diet should be administered for at least 1 month after the first negative urinalysis.Note: For older dogs, a kidney function test is recommended before administering URINARY S/O MODERATE CALORIE. Important notes: Veterinary diet food should only be given in consultation with a veterinarian. During treatment with a veterinary diet, you should see the veterinarian regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups. If your pet’s state of health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately. Struvite dissolutionThe composition supports the dissolution of struvite crystals/stones.Moderate energyThe adapted energy content helps dogs with a tendency to be overweight (after neutering, little exercise, breed-related) to maintain their ideal weight.Urine dilutionBy increasing the volume of urine, the formation of struvite and calcium oxalates is counteracted.Low RSS valueHelps to reduce the struvite and oxalate crystal forming ions in the urine (undersaturation). Dog Sensitivity Control Chicken & Rize Wet
Royal Canin Dog Sensitivity Control Chicken & Rize Wet (12x420g) For puppies and adult dogsIf a feed allergy or intolerance is suspected, the feed change should be carried out without a prior conversion phase. SENSITIVITY CONTROL should then be fed for life. This diet can be fed to adult dogs as well as puppies. SENSITIVITY CONTROL is recommended in cases of chronic dermatoses with allergic background, including atopic dermatitis. Important information: Veterinary diet food may only be fed in consultation with the veterinarian. During the treatment with a veterinary diet food, you should visit the veterinarian regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups. If your pet's health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately. Selected protein sourcesThe highly digestible ingredients (chicken and rice) represent a very compatible combination of raw materials for feed intolerances. They help to minimise the risk of an allergic reaction in affected dogs.Skin barrierThe very high levels of biotin, niazine and pantothenic acid in combination with a zinc-linolenic acid mixture help to reduce fluid loss through the skin and strengthen its barrier effect.EPA/DHAEicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are long-chain omega-3 fatty acids that can help modulate inflammatory skin reactions.High digestive safetyFermentable fibres (FOS) promote a balanced intestinal flora and also support the health of the intestinal mucosa. Dog Satiety Weight Management Wet
Weight: 12x195g
Royal Canin Dog Satiety Weight Management Wet For dogs over 1 yearThe table with the recommended daily rations is based on the animal's target weight and degree of excess weight. The optimal weight loss is 1 to 3 % of body weight per week. To maintain the target weight after reaching it, you can switch to SATIETY, WEIGHT CONTROL or NEUTERED products. The energy intake during the weight maintenance phase should in any case be a maximum of 10 % higher than in the last reduction phase. Important notes: Veterinary diet food may only be given in consultation with the vet. During treatment with a veterinary diet food, you should consult your vet regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups. If your pet's state of health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately. SatietyA special fibre combination can increase your dog's feeling of satiety and help to reduce spontaneous energy intake.Low energy densityThe recipe allows for an increased daily amount of food with a reduced calorie content.  S/O IndexFeeding a diet with the S/O Index creates a urinary environment that counteracts the (re-) formation of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. Dog Obesity Management Wet
Royal Canin Dog Obesity Management Wet (12x410g) For dogs over 1 yearThe individual target weight and the feed quantities are determined. The optimal weight reduction is 1 to 3 % per week. For weight maintenance, WEIGHT CONTROL or products for castrated dogs from the VET CARE NUTRITION range are used after the target weight has been reached. Important information: Veterinary diet food may only be fed in consultation with the veterinarian. During the treatment with a veterinary diet food, you should visit the veterinarian regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups. If your pet's health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately.
