Hobby Waterhole
Reptiles and invertebrates always need access to clean and fresh drinking water. But due to evaporation, spillage or soiling of the watering hole, it is sometimes necessary to renew the water several times a day, which is sometimes difficult to manage.
With the Waterhole, this is no longer a problem. It permanently supplies the animals with clear, fresh and clean water through a reservoir. Thanks to the transparent reservoir, you can see at a glance whether it needs to be refilled. The stable stand of the Waterhole prevents even larger reptiles from tipping it over easily.
With a capacity of approx. 130 ml, the Waterhole offers sufficient capacity to keep the animals well supplied at all times.

Exo Terra substrate for rainforest terrariums is the ideal decorative substrate in naturally planted terrariums for moisture-loving reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates from tropical forests. The substrate for rainforest terrariums regulates humidity in the terrarium in a natural way: it absorbs moisture and then slowly releases it again. The hygroscopic properties are maximised by adding natural sphagnum moss to the mixture. Appropriate humidity levels support shedding and help to prevent respiratory infection. The unique size and shape of the bark particles in combination with the natural sphagnum moss allow for frequent watering of the plants and ensure healthy root growth in the substrate with good aeration. Exo Terra Rain Forest is heat-treated to avoid bacterial contamination.
Instructions for use:Spread a 5–10 cm thick layer of the bark on the terrarium floor. Moisten the substrate as needed to achieve the required humidity level and use an Exo Terra hygrometer to monitor. To increase humidity in well-ventilated terrariums or in terrariums where very high humidity is required, a substrate heater should be placed under the terrarium. Remove heavily soiled substrate spot-wise daily. Replace the substrate completely as needed.

These small waterfalls and streams are often used by reptiles and amphibians to drink water and are therefore an important feature in any tropical environment. The waterfall stimulates the natural drinking behaviour of lizards (such as: chameleons, anoles, water dragons, etc…)Maintenance is easy, as the waterfall can be dismantled into separate parts. An Exo Terra Repti Flo pump is included to ensure water circulation. As a safety measure, smaller stones or pebbles can be added to the collection tank for smaller chameleons and frogs. Organic waste should be removed from the collection tank at regular intervals so that the water remains clean. Tap water should be treated with Aquatize to eliminate chlorine and heavy metals.
