Dental Care
Many guinea pigs suffer from dental problems. This is often a direct result of an inappropriate diet that does not sufficiently contribute to the necessary natural wear of the constantly growing teeth. By incorporating special long fibres with a high silicate content unground into the Cavia Complete chunks, maximum chewing activity and the required tooth wear as well as good oral health are ensured.

Fresh Vegetables
The extrusion process allows fresh vegetables to be added to the chunks. The addition of at least 10% fresh vegetables ensures a great taste. In combination with the fibres and the texture of the chunks, Cavia Complete achieves a high intake rate among guinea pigs.

Long Fibres
Guinea pigs are naturally herbivores whose diet must contain sufficient fibre and little starch. Cavia Complete consists of 20% crude fibre. The new manufacturing process, which ensures that the Complete products contain unground, long, silica-rich fibres that also play a role in natural food intake, is also unique. These long fibres support intestinal and dental function much better than the finely ground fibres in traditional rodent feed.

Low Calorie
The combination of a low energy content, a low starch content and a high content of long fibres in an extruded chunk ensures an easily digestible and balanced diet. This helps your guinea pig maintain its ideal weight.

Florastimul
The unique addition of prebiotics, Fructo-OligoSaccharides (FOS) and Mannan-OligoSaccharides (MOS), supports the general gut flora. This guarantees optimal intestinal balance and good intestinal function.

Vitamin Plus
The addition of essential vitamins in the Complete products supports overall health. Vitamin A is important for the renewal of skin cells, vision, reproduction and metabolism. Vitamin D3 stimulates calcium-phosphorus absorption and thus supports the bones. Vitamin E and vitamin C are important antioxidants that protect the body’s cells against free radicals. These two vitamins also boost the body’s natural resistance. Guinea pigs cannot produce vitamin C in their bodies themselves. For these rodents, intake of vitamin C via food is therefore vital. All other Complete products are also enriched with stabilised vitamin C. Unlike the crystalline form, this is less susceptible to oxidation and degradation and thus remains effective for longer.

Pro Immunity
The addition of natural plant pigments lutein and β-carotene has a positive effect on general resistance and condition. On one hand, these carotenoids are known as strong biological antioxidants. On the other hand, they boost the body’s natural resistance by stimulating the formation of antibodies against pathogens.

Optimal Coat
The addition of essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids ensures healthy skin and a shiny coat. Omega-6 fatty acids are supplied through special vegetable oils. The additional addition of linseed in Complete provides the necessary omega-3 fatty acids. This guarantees an optimal ratio between omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

Anti Hairball
Thanks to the use of special natural fibres, the risk of hairballs in the gastrointestinal tract is reduced.

Odour Control
All Complete products contain extracts of the yucca plant. These extracts bind ammonia and other components responsible for the smell of excretions. This significantly reduces these unpleasant odours.
