Der Artname „nana“ bedeutet: zwergig. Dieses Wuchsverhalten zeigt die Pflanze allerdings nur am Naturstandort in Australien. Der ´Kleine Bär´ ist in der Gewächshauskultur kräftig grün und treibt schon nach wenigen Tagen im Aquarium die ersten roten Unterwasserblätter. Ein immer wieder faszinierendes Schauspiel!

Wie alle Dschungelstar-Sorten ist sie sehr pflegeleicht.
