Two-spotted crickets, also known as Mediterranean or banana crickets, are mainly found in the Mediterranean region. They can grow somewhat larger than steppe crickets and, unlike them, are black in colour.
As this species of insect has to overwinter, it is also ideally equipped for shipping in winter and is considered insensitive even at low temperatures. Otherwise, the species is comparable with the steppe crickets.

A good type of cricket, but they were a bit sluggish.
Crickets are always a bit tricky to ship and some losses are normal. Of the approx. 80 animals, approx. 20 arrived already dead. After 3 days about 1 handful were still alive. I have had other experiences with this. I also found 2 bacon beetle larvae in the boxes. Not tragic but unusual.
