Indem Ihr Tier auf der Matte liegt, wird nach gewisser Zeit die Kühlung jener Seite der Matte wegen der Körperwärme etwas nachlassen. Sie können dann einfach die Matte umdrehen und Ihr Haustier wieder mit Kühlung versehen. Wenn sich Ihr Tier erst an die Matte gewöhnen muss und sich nicht direkt drauf liegt, können Sie die Matte auch über Ihr Tier legen, wenn es sich hingelegt hat. Die Kühlung funktioniert auch so. Wenn die Matte auf einem Untergrund liegen soll, der Feuchtigkeit nicht gut verträgt (Parkett...), so legen Sie zwei Handtücher unter die Matte. Die Kristalle der Matte geben immer ein wenig Kondenswasser ab, was von den Handtüchern absorbiert werden kann.
