No other dog biscuit has ever required such craftsmanship as the classic CanisKnusper. Until the 1990s, the dog biscuit was still made entirely by hand, or rather with the feet. A dough batch weighing over 50kg was kneaded, then laid on the floor and rolled out to the correct thickness using a wooden board and the maker’s own body weight, before being cut by hand into the familiar slabs. Today, of course, we produce this dog biscuit slightly differently, but a great deal of craftsmanship is still required in the dough preparation and shaping. CanisKnusper remains one of the best-selling dog biscuits in the Bubeck range; there is nothing comparable on the market in terms of hardness and size. CanisKnusper is still made according to the original recipe by Robert and Wilhelm Bubeck.
