JR FARM Sprouted Feed for Chickens & Quails

The tasty JR FARM sprouted feed for chickens & quails is a valuable supplementary feed and offers a crunchy variety of freshly sprouted quality seeds. The germination process increases the vitamin and protein content of the seeds. Thus the sprouted food provides the birds with extra natural nutrients. For optimal germination and easy germination, we recommend using an automatic germinator.

During swelling, the proteins in the feed also change enzymatically and can thus be more easily utilised by chickens & quails. The high amount of water contained in the sprouts also has a stimulating effect on the digestion of the animals. The sprout feed is excellently suited as a nutrient-rich supplementary feed - especially in the cold winter months, as well as in the brooding or moulting season. The sprout feed mix is ready to use for the production of fresh sprouts.

Important: Consumption may stimulate the breeding instinct of the birds.

Sprouted and pregelatinised feeds are a vitamin-rich substitute for fresh green feed.
Sprouted feed can be divided into three areas:
1. swollen seed (after 6-18 hours, depending on the seed).
2. actual sprouted feed (after approx. 24-48 hours) = the white sprout becomes visible
3. green seed = the seedling already turns green
The energy content of the seeds decreases due to germination, but the content of vitamins, minerals and trace elements is significantly increased.
