The group of suckermouth catfish is quite diverse in terms of diet: the majority of species feed herbivorously on plants and algae. Many of these species are also wood-eaters. However, there are also species such as the zebra or cactus catfish that do not eat plants, but microorganisms, insects and even dead fish. JBL PRONOVO TABs are the right choice for these species. The JBL PRONOVO PLECO, which is available in two sizes, was developed for all other suckermouth catfish. By the way, experts can recognize what the catfish eats by its teeth.
Some species of suckermouth catfish do not come out when the light is still on. If you then feed them food tablets, they will disintegrate and are more likely to be eaten by the other fish, if they like "green food tablets". It is advisable to feed JBL PRONOVO PLECO AFTER switching off the light. The wafers (chips, which are thinner than food tablets) do not dissolve so quickly and are still in a consistency that the catfish have to grate vigorously (important for the teeth - no joke!) when the catfish are active.
How can you proceed if you keep different bottom dwellers in an aquarium?

In addition, we do NOT keep any bottom dwellers for which it would be problematic if they ate a food tablet that was actually intended for another species (e.g. loaches). You can therefore feed both types of tablet (e.g. JBL PRONOVO PLECO for herbivorous suckermouth catfish and JBL PRONOVO TAB for carnivorous or omnivorous catfish) at the same time. It is even positive for the fish, as they are offered more variety and yet every group of fish gets their species-appropriate diet.

However, even under favorable conditions, its growth is very slow. Alternanthera Reineckii 'Purple' is a secondary or tertiary plant. The top of the leaf blades are reddish brown, while the undersides range from purple to violet to dark red. The mature plant can grow up to 50 cm tall, but usually reaches no more than 20-30 cm in height. It spreads laterally by lateral stolons. To obtain cuttings, 7 cm long cut stems are inserted into the ground It presents best in the second or third level. In nature, it is a swamp plant that occurs in South America.
The best growth results are obtained when it is planted in an active substrate. The growth rate depends on the carbon dioxide concentration in the aquarium water. It prefers soft to hard water with a pH of 6 to 8. It depends on the availability of macronutrients in the water column and is sensitive to macronutrient deficiencies resulting in the loss of leaves in the lower part of the stem.
Plant it in closely spaced clumps. As it grows, it will form a compact group of adult plants.
Prune the plant regularly with sharp scissors. Frequent pruning helps the plant compact and grow. To maintain the dark red color of the foliage, the plant must be well exposed to light. In optimal light, it grows densely and the internodes are short, making it look much more attractive. It makes an interesting contrast to the many green plants in the aquarium. In open aquariums it grows easily to the water surface.Planting: The plant must be removed from the cup and thoroughly rinsed from the gel under running water. Nesea sp. Gold is not very demanding in terms of growing conditions. The yellow coloration of the leaves can be achieved even with moderately intense light. The stronger the lighting, the more the color shifts towards an orange tone. The plant can reach a height of up to 50 cm and is thus intended for the third level. However, it has a fairly moderate growth, so it does not require frequent pruning and with good care can be used as a foreground plant.
Nesea sp. Gold needs CO₂ in gaseous form, but the carbon dioxide requirement is not too high and medium due to the growth rate is not too fast. It requires nutrient-rich water for optimal appearance. However, attention should be paid to potassium levels, as excess can cause deformation of the growth cones.It grows best at temperatures between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius. Since it prefers high temperatures, it is suitable for tanks with a population of extremely heat-loving fish.
The undoubted advantage of this plant is the combination of a very unusual leaf color and low requirements. Nesea sp. Gold provides a good contrast with both green and red foliage plants, and the effect is relatively easy to achieve. It does not require a large amount of CO2. It likes soft and slightly acidic water, but can grow in other parameters as well. It needs good light, a nutrient-rich substrate, CO2 and adequate fertilization to achieve intense coloration. If you want to keep Nesea sp. Gold as a background plant, you should prune it regularly. This will not only keep it at the right height, but will also make it thicker and give it a striking appearance. Gerbil
Gerbils are very sociable animals. In their original home, the Mongolian steppe, they live in large family groups. Mongolian gerbils live in dry steppe areas, where it can get very cold in winter (down to -40 °C) and very warm in summer (up to +50 °C), in underground burrows with several tunnels and chambers. They are active during the day and at night, and have one of their resting phases at the time of the greatest midday heat. Resting and waking periods alternate several times a day.
Keeping:
Gerbils should never be kept alone. They need fellow gerbils to feel comfortable. Gerbils kept individually often sit listlessly in the corner and remain shy. Only when in pairs or groups do they feel secure, are terribly curious and trusting.It is best to keep two or more animals of the same sex. A male and female pair gets on very well, but then numerous offspring can be expected.The main activity of gerbils is digging! Therefore, the best cage is a large aquarium with a mesh cover. As gerbils should be given plenty of bedding for digging, a mesh cage is not particularly suitable.

To stay healthy, gerbils - like other living creatures - depend on a varied diet.The balanced basic diet is ensured by the ready-made food offered in pet shops.Fresh foods such as fruit, carrots or dandelion can also be given to gerbils from time to time. The cage should be checked daily for spoiled fresh food so that the gerbils do not eat mouldy food. To wear down their teeth, gerbils always need some hard bread. Hay serves not only as nesting material, but is also partly eaten.Fresh water should always be available to gerbils. The commercially available small animal drinkers are recommended, as an open water bowl is quickly filled with bedding.
