Crystal clear and healthy water
Poor lighting conditions, over-fertilization or even an excess of nutrients can have a negative effect on aquarium water and promote algae. Suspended algae lead to green turbidity, bacteria to whitish turbidity. The JBL Water Clarifier removes turbidity caused by bacteria and suspended algae. The aquarium water is passed through the stable, UV-resistant housing of the clarifier. The UV-C radiation kills the bacteria, other germs and suspended algae in the water flowing through. The efficiency of this UV-C water clarifier is particularly high because the glass bulb is surrounded by a polished, reflective stainless steel foil that reflects the UV-C radiation, thus doubling the efficiency. This can also have a positive effect on the elimination of sessile algae, such as filamentous algae, as their spores are also largely killed.

Easy installation
Connect the water clarifier to the external filter or a separate water pump. Due to included 90° angle, any desired installation position can be achieved.
Safety
The JBL UV-C water clarifier is TÜV-tested and has a safety switch for automatic shutdown when the device is opened. The housing is UV-resistant and sturdy walls and has an LED lamp that indicates whether the UV-C burner is working .
Difference from the previous model JBL ProCristal UV-C Compact:
The function indicator lights are now located on the flat side of the electrical unit and the microswitch for automatic shutdown of the burner when the housing is opened (if the plug has not been pulled out) is changed to a magnetic safety switch. As a result, the electrical units of the previous models (Compact) do NOT fit the new ones (Compact Plus) and vice versa.
