Where to buy cats?
Cats cannot be bought in pet shops in Switzerland. Pedigree cats can be bought directly from breeders, while mixed-breed cats or normal house cats are often offered by private individuals. Animal shelters also always have cats, pedigree cats or normal house cats for sale. Before buying a cat, you should find out about keeping and caring for it. Cats live for up to 20 years, and the buyer is responsible for the animal for its entire life.
