The following formula is used to calculate the amount of gravel: 
Length of the aquarium x width of the aquarium x the desired gravel height (take the average) divided / 100 = litres of gravel required.
100cm x 50cm x7cm = 35'000 : 1000 = 35 litres
Depending on the product, the quantity is written in litres or kilograms. In the case of kilograms, you must calculate the quantity x 1.5 (as gravel is heavier than water) - so in our example this would be 52.5 kg.

If you buy a culture medium, you can subtract this amount. Always buy enough substrate, as it is difficult to set up if you have too little at home. We also take back whole bags.
