Die Zwergnadelsimse Eleocharis pusilla ist in Australien und Neuseeland beheimatet und besiedelt dort Feuchtgebiete mit unterschiedlichen Wasserständen. Die Wuchshöhe ist im Unterschied zur Eleocharis acicularis deutlich kürzer, meist nur wenige Zentimeter hoch. Ein weiteres Unterscheidungsmerkmal sind die hellgrünen, leicht gebogenen Halme der Zwergnadelsimse. Optimal wächst diese Graspflanze im kühleren Wasser, permanent höhere Temperaturen über 25° C verträgt sie nicht. Für Stein Layouts im Stil von Iwagumi ist diese zarte Schönheit hervorragend geeignet für die Darstellung einer frischen „Sommerwiese“. Wie die Nadelsimse lässt sich auch die Zwergnadelsimse gut zurückschneiden, somit wird der Bestand noch dichter und kompakter.
Wasserpflanzen In-Vitro
In Vitro - Pflanzen werden im Labor unter sterilen Bedingungen kultiviert. Sie werden in einer 7cm grossen, geschlossenen Dose ausgeliefert. Die kleinen Pflänzchen sind absolut Algen und Schneckenfrei und können direkt eingepflanzt werden. Ideal ist diese Produktgruppe für kleinere Aquarien und Nano Cubes sowie für das moderne Aquascaping. Wie anspruchsvoll die jeweilige Pflanze ist, lässt sich ganz leicht an der oberen rechten Ecke der Verpackung erkennen. Die Verbreitung der Schwertpflanzen erstreckt sich von den USA bis nach Argentinien. Die E. argentinensis gehört zu den größer werdenden Arten und benötigt genügend Platz in einer Unterwasserlandschaft. Für offene Aquarien ist sie sehr gut geeignet, ihre kräftigen Blätter über Wasser sehen dekorativ aus. Mit etwas Geduld bilden sich auch Blütentriebe mit weißen Blüten. Nährstoffreicher Bodengrund und eine mittlere bis gute Beleuchtung sind notwendig.

Eine weitverbreitete Stängelpflanze im asiatischen Raum. Im emersen Stadium ist sie kleinwüchsig mit dichtbeblätterten Sprossen. Im Aquarium sind die Fiederblätter deutlich ausgeprägter und die Farbe ist jetzt hellgrün. Zu der lichtbedürftigeren Cabomba-Pflanze ist die Limnophila sessiliflora eine gute Alternative. Wie bei vielen zarten Stängelpflanzen sollte man auch sie in einer größeren Stängelanzahl als Gruppe pflanzen. Bei guter Beleuchtung färben sich ihre Triebspitzen rostbraun.

Dieses schöne Moos kommt von den Sunda-Inseln in Indonesien. Im Handel wird es auch als „Christmas-Moos“ bezeichnet. Dieser Name leitet sich von den nach unten hängenden Sprossen ab und erinnert an die Zweige eines Weihnachtsbaumes. In der Kultur sehr einfach und pflegeleicht, kann es jederzeit in Form geschnitten werden. Wie alle Moose wächst V. montagnei gerne auf Wurzeln und Steinen. Dies hat auch den Vorteil, eine Landschaft mit wenigen Handgriffen umgestalten zu können.

Nicht sehr anspruchsvoll.
Die Kardinalslobelie ist eine Stängelpflanze aus Nordamerika. In der emersen Form sind die Blätter dunkelolivgrün mit scharlachroter Blattunterseite. Die submerse Pflanze dagegen ist hellgrün mit kleineren Blättern. Ihre fleischigen Stängel wachsen nur sehr langsam und erreichen unter Wasser auch nur eine Höhe von 10 - 20 cm. Lobelia cardinalis wird sehr oft für den Bepflanzungsstil „Holland-Aquarium“ verwendet. Hier werden Pflanzen in größeren Gruppen nach strenger Anordnung dicht eingepflanzt und kultiviert, so dass der Eindruck eines botanischen Gartens entsteht. Langsamwachsende Art mit geringen Ansprüchen an die Wasserwerte, sowie Boden und Temperatur.

This novelty was only recently correctly identified - its previous name H. spec. araguaia is no longer valid. The plant is small and forms reddish-brown narrow leaves under water. Sometimes it even grows creeping over the substrate. Cultivated in the emersed state, it often produces small, blue-violet flowers. With good lighting and a good supply of CO2, the plants grow much better. The new Hygrophila looks very delicate and only comes into its own in a larger group. In the Nano Cube, however, just a few stems are enough to add a splash of color.

Die Pflanze ist zwar schon lange wissenschaftlich bestimmt, wurde aber erst vor einigen Jahren für die Aquaristik „entdeckt“. Mit ihren sehr dekorativen, stark gewellten Blatträndern gehört sie wohl mit zu den schönsten Vordergrundpflanzen. Auf den ersten Blick denkt man an eine Rosettenpflanze, sie ist jedoch eine stark gestauchte Stängelpflanze. Wenn man einige grundlegende Kulturbedingungen erfüllt, bildet die Pogostemon helferi wunderschöne Pflanzenpolster: gute bis intensive Beleuchtung, Temperaturen um 25 °C, mittelhartes Wasser. Unter diesen Voraussetzungen ist ihre Blattfarbe sattgrün. Die Pogostemon helferi kann sowohl in den Kies als auch auf Steine oder Wurzeln befestigt werden.
