In aquariums, the UV-C unit is usually connected after the filter so that water that is as clear as possible and has been mechanically pre-cleaned flows through the UV-C clarifier.Ensure the flow rate is correct, as excessive pump output can reduce the contact time between the water and the UV-C light. The unit must only be operated when fully assembled and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Never look directly at UV-C light. Always disconnect from the mains before carrying out any maintenance work.Zoo Roco TipA UV-C clarifier is particularly helpful for green water caused by floating algae or milky-whitish cloudiness.
