Recipe description for 1 batch of birdie bread (each bag makes 2 batches):
Ingredient list for one (1) batch:
- 2 cups TOP's Birdie Bread Mix (about half a bag)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1.25 cups applesauce or other fruit puree
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Combine two (2) cups TOP's Premium Birdie Bread Mix and 1 teaspoon baking powder in a medium mixing bowl.
In a separate large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 large beaten egg and applesauce (or other fruit puree).
Add the dry ingredients from step 2 to the wet ingredients from step 3 and mix until a smooth batter forms.
Pour the batter into a medium-size baking pan or regular muffin pan, or form 2-inch cookies on a greased cookie sheet*.
Bake the cookies at 177°C for 15 minutes or until firm.
* Do not use PTFE-coated trays.

- Preheat the oven to 350 °F (177 °C)
- Mix the entire bag of mix with 2 whole organic eggs without shells (remove yolks for less fat), 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of palm fruit oil (sustainable) or another high-quality organic vegetable oil and 235 ml of water.
- Pour into a greased loaf tin or muffin tin and bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
- Do not bake in non-stick (PTFE-coated) cookware as the fumes are toxic to birds)Dough ball instructions:Mix the whole bag with 1 tablespoon of melted organic palm fruit oil, palm oil or coconut oil and 1/2 cup of trusted drinking water (no eggs).
- Mix thoroughly and roll into 3/4" to 1" dough balls
