Product information "Aquascaping Bonsai tree"

Aquascaping bonsai for aquariums

Bonsai trees for your aquarium! Offering plenty of scope for creativity when designing your aquascape layout.

  • Original decoration
  • Natural and gnarled appearance
  • Ideal for aquascaping tanks

As with any type of wood, a bacterial film may initially form on the surface. This is not mould and is completely harmless. The bacterial film can simply be vacuumed off and is also readily eaten by many aquarium inhabitants.

The delicate branches are ideal for planting with moss or smaller Bucephalandra species, and the subtle roots at the base allow for perfect integration into the layout.

As this is a handmade item, the product you receive may differ from the photograph.

ME Carbo Ultra Flex, CO₂ system (without cylinder)
ME Carbo Ultra Flex – CO₂ system without a cylinder for tanks up to 400 litresME Carbo Ultra Flex CO₂ system (without cylinder) for aquariums up to 400 litres. Includes pressure regulator, solenoid valve, diffuser and continuous CO₂ test. Suitable for disposable and reusable cylinders. The ME Carbo Ultra Flex is a high-quality CO₂ fertilisation system designed to supply aquatic plants with carbon dioxide in a targeted manner. This well-designed system was developed for demanding plant aquariums and aquascapes and is suitable for freshwater aquariums with a volume of up to 400 litres.Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is an important component of photosynthesis, alongside light and nutrients. A CO₂ supply tailored to your plants’ needs supports healthy plant growth, strong leaves and vibrant plant colours. Controlled CO₂ fertilisation can make a significant difference, particularly in heavily planted aquariums with powerful lighting. At the heart of the system is the ME Regulator Ultra pressure reducer with an integrated solenoid valve. It allows for precise adjustment of the CO₂ supply and offers the option of automatically interrupting the gas supply during the night. The solenoid valve can, for example, be connected to a timer for this purpose. The integrated bubble counter with non-return valve makes it easier to monitor the CO₂ dosage. The desired number of bubbles can be set using the fine-adjustment needle valve, whilst two pressure gauges display the cylinder pressure and the set operating pressure. The CO₂ Diffuser Pro L, included as standard, ensures the fine distribution of carbon dioxide in the aquarium. It releases the gas into the water in the form of tiny bubbles, thereby promoting the most efficient possible dissolution of CO₂.To monitor the CO₂ concentration, the set includes a CO₂ Check Glass continuous test kit with 15 ml of test liquid. The colour change of the indicator liquid allows for easy monitoring and helps you adjust the CO₂ supply to the actual needs of your aquatic plants.A particular advantage of the ME Carbo Ultra Flex is its flexibility. Thanks to the adapter supplied, the system can be used with both suitable disposable CO₂ cylinders and reusable cylinders. This allows the system to be adapted to different aquarium sizes and existing CO₂ set-ups.The ME Carbo Ultra Flex offers a convenient solution for aquarists who value a precise, reliable and individually adjustable CO₂ supply.Important: The CO₂ cylinder is not included and must be purchased separately.Your benefits at a glance1 CO₂ fertiliser system ( cylinder not included)Suitable for planted freshwater aquariums up to 400 litresRegulator Ultra pressure reducer with dual pressure gaugeIntegrated solenoid valve for automatic night-time shut-offBubble counter with non-return valve and precise fine-needle valveDiffuser Pro L for fine CO₂ distribution in the aquariumCO₂ endurance test included, with test fluid for monitoringSuitable for use with compatible disposable and reusable CO₂ cylindersContents of the packME Regulator Ultra pressure regulator with integrated solenoid valveCO₂ Diffuser Pro LFlexTube CO₂ hose, 2 m longAdapter for use with disposable cylindersCO₂ Check Glass Long-Term Test15 ml CO₂ test solutionInstructions for usePlace a suitable disposable or reusable CO₂ cylinder upright in a safe and well-ventilated location near the aquarium. The cylinder must be secured to prevent it from falling over.Fit the Regulator Ultra pressure reducer to the CO₂ cylinder in accordance with the enclosed operating instructions. If necessary, use the supplied adapter for disposable cylinders.Connect the pressure reducer to the Diffuser Pro L using the CO₂ hose. Position the diffuser as low as possible in the aquarium, in an area with sufficient water movement, so that the carbon dioxide is distributed effectively throughout the water.Next, adjust the operating pressure and CO₂ dosage using the fine-control needle valve. Start with a low bubble count and gradually increase the supply in line with your plants’ requirements. The included CO₂ continuous test kit indicates the approximate CO₂ concentration in the water via the colour change of the test liquid. Check the value regularly and adjust the dosage as required. The integrated solenoid valve can be connected to a suitable timer to automatically interrupt the CO₂ supply during the night.Important safety instructionsAlways position CO₂ cylinders upright and secure them to prevent them from falling overOnly use suitable and approved CO₂ cylindersCheck the connections for leaks before commissioningDo not use oil- or grease-based lubricants on pressure connectionsAdjust the CO₂ supply slowly and in a controlled mannerMonitor the CO₂ concentration regularlyProtect your fish immediately if there are signs of CO₂ overdoseShut off the gas supply and disconnect the power supply before carrying out any maintenance workZoo Roco TipA well-balanced CO₂ supply is particularly important in heavily planted aquariums and demanding aquascapes. To ensure your aquatic plants can grow optimally, the lighting, CO₂ and nutrient supply should be as well-balanced as possible. For many planted community aquariums, the target CO₂ level is around 20–30 mg/l, provided that the fish and shrimp population can tolerate this concentration. Check the levels regularly using the continuous test kit supplied. Our tip: Connect the built-in solenoid valve to a timer and synchronise the CO₂ supply with the lighting schedule. This allows you to conveniently control the supply to your plants and avoid unnecessary CO₂ addition during the night. Thanks to its flexible connection options, the ME Carbo Ultra Flex is particularly suitable for aquarists who already own a suitable CO₂ cylinder or wish to switch between disposable and refillable cylinders at a later date.

ME Carbo 600 Basic, CO₂ system, 600 g disposable
ME Carbo 600 Basic – CO₂ system with 600g disposable cylinderME Carbo 600 Basic CO₂ system with a 600g disposable cylinder for aquariums up to 100 litres. Complete set including a pressure regulator, CO₂ diffuser and continuous test for vigorous plant growth. The ME Carbo 600 Basic is a practical CO₂ system designed to supply aquatic plants with carbon dioxide. The complete set includes a 600 g disposable CO₂ cylinder, offering a straightforward way to set up CO₂ fertilisation in your aquarium. The system is particularly suitable for planted aquariums and aquascapes up to 100 litres.Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is an important component of photosynthesis, alongside light and nutrients. A CO₂ supply tailored to the plants’ needs supports the growth of aquarium plants and can contribute to stronger plants and more vibrant leaf colours. At the heart of the system is the ME Regulator Basic pressure reducer, which allows you to regulate the CO₂ supply. The included Diffuser Pro S disperses the carbon dioxide into the aquarium water in the form of fine bubbles. This promotes the most efficient possible uptake of CO₂ by the aquatic plants. To make it easy to monitor the CO₂ concentration, a CO₂ Check Glass with the appropriate test solution is included in the scope of delivery. The continuous test uses a colour change to indicate whether the CO₂ level in the aquarium is too low, sufficient or too high. This allows the dosage to be gradually adjusted to the plants’ requirements. The system is supplied with a 600 g disposable CO₂ cylinder, a transparent CO₂ hose and a suitable cylinder adapter. This means that the essential components for getting started with controlled CO₂ fertilisation are already included. The ME Carbo 600 Basic is a practical solution for all aquarists who wish to provide their aquatic plants with a targeted supply of CO₂ without having to set up a complex system.Your benefits at a glance1 complete CO₂ kit including a 600 g disposable cylinderSuitable for planted aquariums up to 100 litresPromotes vigorous and healthy plant growthRegulator Basic pressure reducer for controlled CO₂ supplyDiffuser Pro S for fine CO₂ distribution in the waterContinuous CO₂ test with test solution for easy monitoringIncludes a transparent CO₂ hose and a disposable cylinder adapterIdeal for planted aquariums and aquascapingInstructions for useSet up the ME Carbo 600 Basic CO₂ system in a safe, dry and well-ventilated place near the aquarium. The CO₂ cylinder must be kept upright and secured to prevent it from falling over.Fit the pressure regulator to the CO₂ disposable cylinder using the supplied adapter, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Then connect the pressure regulator to the Diffuser Pro S via the CO₂ hose.Place the diffuser as low as possible in the aquarium, in a spot with sufficient water movement, so that the CO₂ can disperse well throughout the water.Start with a low CO₂ dosage and increase it gradually in line with the plants’ requirements and the measured water parameters. The CO₂ continuous test strip supplied helps you to monitor the concentration in the aquarium. After each adjustment, allow the test strip sufficient time for the colour change to stabilise.Important notesAlways position the CO₂ cylinder upright and securelyCheck the connections for leaks after installationAdjust the CO₂ dosage slowly and in a controlled mannerCheck the CO₂ level regularly using the continuous testProtect your aquatic animals immediately if there are any signs of CO₂ overdoseDo not refill disposable cylinders yourselfInterrupt the CO₂ supply during the night wherever possibleA suitable CO₂ solenoid valve, available separately, can be used for automatic night-time shutdown.Zoo Roco TipA CO₂ system is a particularly useful addition to aquariums with lots of aquatic plants and stronger lighting. To ensure your plants grow optimally, the lighting, CO₂ supply and nutrient supply should be coordinated. We recommend checking the CO₂ level regularly using the continuous test strip supplied. For many planted community aquariums, a CO₂ range of around 20–30 mg/l is recommended, provided that the fish and shrimp population can tolerate this range.Keep a close eye on your aquarium inhabitants, particularly during the first few days after installation. An excessively high CO₂ concentration can be dangerous for fish and shrimps. For convenient control, we recommend fitting the CO₂ system with a suitable solenoid valve and a timer. This allows the CO₂ supply to be automatically interrupted at night when the plants are not photosynthesising.
