The cooling mat protects your pet from overheating. Simply place the mat in cold water for a few minutes. Keeps the temperature cool for many hours.
The dog must be able to choose whether it wants to lie on the cooling blanket – please do not place it in dog crates and lock the dog in there.
Place the mat on a level where your pet can lie comfortably on the mat. This does not necessarily have to be the whole body, pets often like it when only certain parts of the body are cooled. As your pet lies on the mat, the cooling of that side of the mat will decrease slightly after a while due to body heat. You can then simply turn the mat over and provide your pet with cooling again. If your pet first needs to get used to the mat and does not lie directly on it, you can also place the mat over your pet when it is lying down. Cooling also works in this way.
If the mat is to be placed on a surface that does not tolerate moisture well (parquet...), place two towels under the mat. The crystals of the mat always release a little condensation, which can be absorbed by the towels.
