It is important that they can always stand straight on the surface and that they do not have to bend their backs.What are the advantages of a plastic wheel?Basically, just like our wooden and cork wheels, this wheel is height adjustable and has a very quiet ball bearing.There are two decisive advantages over the natural materials.Firstly, it will egg less as it is not made of "working" wood at all. This means that the wheel will not warp with the fluctuating temperature in the room. And for another, it is much easier to clean.Cleaning becomes an important issue especially when it has to be done more often than usual. If there is an infestation of mites, for example, it should be rinsed daily. This is a strain that lasts several weeks and a wheel made of wood would become so brittle in the process that a risk of injury can no longer be ruled out.Tip: You should note that our ball bearing is only protected against splashing water and should not be immersed in water. However, you can treat the front with water as you like, the cork insert can also withstand quite a bit.Species-appropriate stand without scissor effectAs is usual with our products, the height of the wheel can be adjusted at the back as required. No substances may be emitted that would have a negative effect on health. For example, there are strict limit values for plasticisers, which must of course be met.Replaceable cork insertsLike our wooden wheels with cork treads, the plastic versions have corresponding inserts. These are glued to a food-safe and unbreakable plastic strip to make replacement easier.You can simply remove it, scrub it with a toothbrush and warm water and then put it back in the wheel. The larger the hamster cage, the better. Repeated disturbances from sleep lead to illness and biting in hamsters in the long term.Hamsters are therefore only suitable for older schoolchildren, teenagers and working people.The life expectancy of rodents is 2 to 3 years.
