These dog crates were developed to protect dogs and people. THULE as a developer and manufacturer, known for bicycle trailers for children or car boxes, has now developed a unique dog box.

The Thule Allax dog crate is the perfect choice for safe and comfortable car journeys with four-legged friends. It has undergone thorough crash tests at the Thule Test Center and has also been certified by TÜV SÜD .

The innovative crumple zone protects both passengers and the dog. The gas pressure spring enables smooth opening and closing. The box's integrated lock provides additional security.

How to make sure the dog crate fits your car

Nhen choosing a crate for your car, use the fit guide to find the right size.

Depth: Measure from the back of the rear seats to the rearmost point of the trunk. If you have a hatchback or SUV, you should measure to the point where the trunk door starts to slope down - if the box is too high, it may not fit under a steeply sloping tailgate.

Height: Measure from the floor of the trunk to the lowest point on the trunk door, hatch or ceiling of the load compartment. Some trunks have a threshold at the edge, so make sure that your dog crate fits over this threshold.

How to choose the right dog crate size

Choosing the right dog crate size is crucial for the comfort, safety and well-being of your dog when traveling. The crate should offer enough space for your dog to sit, stand, turn around and lie down in a natural position.

However, it should not be so large that your dog slips or is thrown around during the journey, which can lead to injury.

Measure your dog

You need to measure your dog to make sure the crate you buy is the right size.

Here's how!

Measure your dog's shoulder height. Use a tape measure to determine the height from the floor to the top of your dog's shoulder blades.

Select the box size to match the shoulder height:

XS: For dogs with a shoulder height of up to 35 cm.

S: For dogs with a shoulder height of up to 45 cm.

M and M Compact: For dogs with a shoulder height of up to 51 cm.

L and L Compact: For dogs with a shoulder height of up to 55 cm.

XL and XL Compact: For dogs with a shoulder height of up to 58 cm.
