NEKTON-Rep-Calcium-Pur+ is a highly effective calcium supplement with minerals, enriched with trace elements without vitamin D3 to prevent and compensate for calcium deficiency and its consequential diseases. It supports the optimal construction and maintenance of the skeleton and promotes a healthy calcium metabolism in reptiles and amphibians. NEKTON-Rep-Calcium-Pur+ contains no vitamin D3 and is specially developed for animals that are supplied with sufficient UVB light or free-living animals with sufficient sun exposure (approx. 10 hours). These can produce their own vitamin D and therefore do not need an extra proportion of vitamin D3 in the product.Reptiles and amphibians need less food than mammals because they have a relatively low energy requirement. Therefore, it is more important that the food contains all the necessary nutrients. These include minerals and trace elements. In addition to high-quality food, these substances must be added.
One of the most important supplements is calcium, which is very important not only for eggshell and bone formation, but also for other vital processes (such as muscle contractions). It supports the optimal construction and maintenance of the skeleton and promotes a healthy calcium metabolism in reptiles and amphibians. NEKTON-Rep-Calcium-Pur+ contains no vitamin D3 and is specially developed for animals that are supplied with sufficient UVB light or free-living animals with sufficient sun exposure (approx. 10 hours). These can produce their own vitamin D and therefore do not need an extra proportion of vitamin D3 in the product.Reptiles and amphibians need less food than mammals because they have a relatively low energy requirement. Therefore, it is more important that the food contains all the necessary nutrients. These include minerals and trace elements. In addition to high-quality food, these substances must be added.One of the most important supplements is calcium, which is very important not only for eggshell and bone formation, but also for other vital processes (such as muscle contractions). The calcium content in the feed is usually very low. Especially the feeder insects lead to a calcium deficiency without supplementation.
