Die aus Mauritius stammende art ist eine endemische Pflanze, die nur auf der Insel Mauritius vorkommt. Sie wächst sehr gut, aber wie auch die Lilaeopsis brasiliensis ist die Wuchsgeschwindigkeit eher langsam. Ihre Blattform ist im Querschnitt rundlich und erinnert ein wenig an Schnittlauch im Miniaturformat. auch hier fördert ein radikaler Rückschnitt die Bildung eines dichten Bestandes. für nano Cubes und auch für das „Aquascaping“ ist diese grasartige Pflanze bestens geeignet. Kriechendes Rhizom mit sehr dünnen Blättchen, langsam wachsend, rasenbildend.

Der Javafarn ist die beliebteste Farnart in der Aquaristik und im tropischen Asien weit verbreitet. Die Art ist sehr variabel mit vielen Blattformen und Grössen. In der Regel sind die Überwasserblätter deutlich dunkler gefärbt als im submersen Stadium. Der Riesenwasserfreund ist eine gute Anfängerpflanze für den Hintergrund. The hornwort is a cosmopolitan plant that can be found in many bodies of water around the world. We found the free-floating stem plant in huge populations in a tributary of the Rio Miranda on the edge of the Pantanal in South America. The growth rate of the stems is enormous, so they have to be constantly pruned. Ceratophyllum is considered a "miracle weapon" against algae growth. Eine dekorative Vordergrundpflanze ist die Lilaeopsis brasiliensis. am Naturstandort besiedelt sie den Uferbereich von flüssen und Sümpfen bis in eine Höhe von über 1.000 m. Ihr grasartiger Charakter ist ähnlich wie bei Helanthium tenellum, daher wird sie auch manchmal als „falsche Tenellus“ bezeichnet. Im Aquarium ist sie problemlos zu kultivieren, bevorzugt kühleres Wasser und wächst, unabhängig, ob weiches oder härteres Wasser, recht langsam. Kaum eine andere Stängelpflanze ist derart farbintensiv wie diese Sorte. Stängel, Blattober- und Unterseite sind braun rot- bis kirschrot gefärbt. Die Pflanze benötigt aber zur intensiven Färbung eine gute Beleuchtung und eine ausreichende CO2-Versorgung. Die Wuchsgeschwindigkeit liegt im mittleren Bereich, sodass ein Einkürzen der Stängel bzw.
