Das Leuchtie hat eine Leuchtdauer ca. 50 Stunden pro Batteriesatz (reicht bei täglich 1 Stunde ca. 6 Wochen lang). Danach wird das Leuchtie allmählich schwacher, ist jedoch noch lange mit den gleichen Batterien zu verwenden.

Das Leuchtie ist sehr einfach anzulegen, es wird mit einem Handgriff über den Kopf des Hundes gezogen. Daher ist bei der Ermittlung der passenden Grösse des Leuchties nicht der Halsumfang, sondern der Kopfumfang des Hundes entscheidend.
