Die Aquarium-Abdeckung aus hochwertigem Schwarzglas lässt sich zur Pflege und Reinigung einfach zu Seite schieben (und herausnehmen). Falls die integrierte Beleuchtung (2 x T5) in besonderen Fällen nicht genügt, kann eine zusätzliche entsprechende Beleuchtungseinheit eingesetzt werden (Power-Kit). Schläuche und Stromkabel laufen gut versteckt in einem Versorgungsschacht bzw. durch eine Bodenbohrung, sodass die Aquarium-Kombination auch von hinten gut aussieht und als Raumteiler genutzt werden kann. Hochwertiges, verzerrfreies Floatglas mit diamantgeschliffenen, spiegelverschweissten Kanten lässt freie Sicht in die Unterwasserwelt und gewährleistet höchste Sicherheit. Verdeckte Querverstärkungen stabilisieren den oberen Bereich zusätzlich. Hinweise
Eine neue Vallisnerie in der Aquaristik ist Vallisneria nana. Der Artname „nana“ bedeutet: zwergig. Dieses Wuchsverhalten zeigt die Pflanze allerdings nur am Naturstandort in Australien. In unseren Aquarien erreichen die Pflanzen durchaus Wuchslängen von 30-70 cm. Somit ist die sehr schmalblättrige Art eher für den Hintergrund geeignet. Kultur und Pflege sind sehr einfach, doch auch hier gilt es, das Wachstum der Ausläufer zu kontrollieren. CO2-Gaben fördern den Wuchs aller Vallisnerien zusätzlich.
