Easy-Life OsmoVital Salt addresses this directly: As a highly soluble hardening and mineral salt, it enables you to remineralise soft water quickly and in a controlled manner – ideal for initial filling and every water change.The benefit lies in the targeted adjustment of GH and KH. Total hardness (GH) supplies important minerals, while carbonate hardness (KH) supports the pH value in the aquarium as a buffer. In this way, you create a water profile that can be better adapted to the needs of many freshwater inhabitants – especially if you start deliberately with soft source water and want to set your own values.In addition to hardening, OsmoVital Salt also supplements essential trace elements and vitamins. At the same time, it is free from nitrate and phosphate, which can be an advantage especially in well-maintained planted aquariums and with controlled nutrient management. Thanks to its high solubility, the salt can be dosed and mixed in easily.The dosage table helps you with the adjustment: Per 100 litres and 5 g (1 measuring spoon), GH, KH and conductivity increase in clearly defined steps. This means you can accurately achieve your target values instead of remineralising “at random”. For best results, it is recommended to measure the values after preparing the replacement water and readjust in small steps if necessary.Zoo Roco Tip:Ideally, dissolve OsmoVital Salt in the replacement water (bucket/canister), stir well and measure GH/KH afterwards before adding the water to the tank. This prevents fluctuations in the aquarium. If you keep shrimp or special biotope species, consistently set the target values according to their needs – not to “standard values”.
