PAWS & PATCH elm bark powder is obtained from the inner bark of the American elm tree(Ulmus rubra, Slippery Elm Bark). It is a natural product, rich in mucilage, tannins, bitter substances, fatty acids and minerals. The mucilage it contains has a gentle effect on the stomach and intestinal mucous membranes and can support the digestion of dogs and cats.

Preparation & feeding

The powder is not fed directly, but processed into a syrup:

Preparation:

Pour the powder into a small saucepan with water according to the instructions on the packet.
Simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Allow to cool and divide into two portions.

Dosage per day:

Cats: 1.5 ML powder with 75 ml water
Dogs up to 10 kg: 2 ML powder with 100 ml water
Dogs 10-20 kg: 4 ML powder with 200 ml water
Dogs over 20 kg: 6 ML powder with 300 ml water

Administration: In the morning and evening 15-30 minutes before feeding. Pour directly onto a small plate or administer into the mouth. When feeding for the first time, start with 50 % of the daily dose.
