How many dog breeds are there?
There are currently more than 350 recognised dog breeds. These are categorised into ten different groups and subdivided into sections within these groups to differentiate between dog breeds that are already similar in type.
How much exercise does a dog need?
The amount of exercise a dog needs can vary greatly depending on its age, breed, and state of health.
With young dogs, you have to make sure that the joints are not overloaded as they grow. And when the dog gets older, it is again the joints that need to be protected.
It is also important to note that exercise does not only include physical activity. Mental stimulation through training, games and other activities are equally significant to keep a dog happy and healthy. Puppies and young dogs often have higher energy levels and require more exercise and playtime accordingly, while older dogs may be a little calmer and prefer less intense activities.
