Royal Canin Dog Diabetic Special Low Carbohydrate Wet
For dogs over 1 year
DIABETIC SPECIAL should be fed for a lifetime.
Attention: The use of this diet food increases insulin sensitivity. Monitoring the blood sugar level and adjusting the insulin dose if necessary must be observed at the beginning of feeding.
Important information:
- Veterinary diet food may only be fed in consultation with the veterinarian.
- During the treatment with a veterinary diet food, you should visit the veterinarian regularly (approx. every 6 months) for check-ups.
- If your pet's health deteriorates, seek veterinary advice immediately.
Adjusted starch content
A low starch content reduces the development of postprandial hyperglycaemia.
Glucomodulation
The addition of cereals (maize) can effectively prevent postprandial hyperglycaemia.
High fibre content
Dietary fibres delay the absorption of nutrients in the small intestine and help control the blood sugar level in affected dogs.
Antioxidant protection
A synergistic antioxidant combination (Vit. E, Vit. C, taurine, lutein) can protect the body cells from attacks by aggressive metabolic products.
S/O Index
S/O Index: Helps to prevent the two common stone types struvite and (calcium) oxalate.
