WIO Wood Sinking Chips Accent 150 gWIO Wood Sinking Chips Accent 150 g are natural wooden accents made from bark, roots, twigs and wood chips. Ideal for realistic details in aquascapes, biotope aquariums, paludariums and terrariums.WIO Wood Sinking Chips Accent 150 g are natural wooden accents for creating detailed designs in aquariums, paludariums and terrariums. The mixture mimics accumulations of wood as found in riverbeds, along riverbanks and on jungle floors. This allows hardscape transitions, the bases of stones and natural drift lines to be designed particularly realistically.
The mixture consists of selected wooden components such as bark, fine roots, twigs and wood chips. After soaking or preparation, the pieces of wood sink and can be placed precisely between stones, on slopes or in small hollows. It is recommended to boil the material for approximately 20 minutes or soak it for 24–72 hours before use, and then introduce it into the tank gradually.
As this is a natural wood-based material, tannins may be released. In weakly buffered water, this can affect the pH value. Gradual addition and monitoring of water parameters are therefore particularly advisable where sensitive aquarium inhabitants are present.Your benefits at a glanceNatural wood accents for aquascaping and biotope designImitates accumulations of wood in riverbeds and jungle floorsA mixture of bark, fine roots, twigs and wood chipsSuitable for aquariums, paludariums and terrariumsIdeal for concealing transitions and the bases of rocksAdds depth, structure and natural detailsCan microfauna provide habitat and a food source?Sinks after preparationSuitable for natural-looking layouts and biotope aquariumsContents: 150 gInstructions for useRinse thoroughly before use. For use in the aquarium, it is recommended to boil the Wood Sinking Chips for approx. 20 minutes or soak them for 24–72 hours so that they sink more effectively and any initial release of substances is reduced. This creates a naturally developed layout without the aquarium looking overloaded.
Double pack Xaxim plate 45 × 15 × 1.5 cm Natural terrarium back wall
The double pack of 45 × 15 × 1.5 cm Xaxim panels is ideal for the natural design of terrariums, paludariums and wetland biotopes. The panels are made of natural Xaxim and provide an ideal surface for mosses, ferns, bromeliads and other perennial plants. The porous structure reliably retains moisture and promotes a healthy microclimate.

Black peat sod from PetfactoryBlack peat sods are compact blocks of black peat, a highly decomposed, humus-rich peat. They are often used in aquariums and terrariums, especially in tropical terrariums.Due to their ability to store moisture, they help to stabilize the climate in the terrarium and are of completely natural origin. They can be planted with mosses and ferns.
Another advantage of black peat sods is that they are easy to work with using standard tools such as saws, drills or files. This enables the individual design of back or side walls as well as the creation of terraces or hilly landscapes in the terrarium. Exo Terra substrate for rainforest terrariums is a 100% natural, biodegradable terrarium substrate consisting of a mixture of maritime pine & sphagnum moss sourced from sustainable cultivation. Exo Terra substrate for rainforest terrariums is the ideal decorative substrate in naturally planted terrariums for moisture-loving reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates from tropical forests. The substrate for rainforest terrariums regulates humidity in the terrarium in a natural way: it absorbs moisture and then slowly releases it again. The hygroscopic properties are maximised by adding natural sphagnum moss to the mixture. Appropriate humidity levels support shedding and help to prevent respiratory infection. The unique size and shape of the bark particles in combination with the natural sphagnum moss allow for frequent watering of the plants and ensure healthy root growth in the substrate with good aeration. Exo Terra Rain Forest is heat-treated to avoid bacterial contamination.
Instructions for use:Spread a 5–10 cm thick layer of the bark on the terrarium floor. Moisten the substrate as needed to achieve the required humidity level and use an Exo Terra hygrometer to monitor. To increase humidity in well-ventilated terrariums or in terrariums where very high humidity is required, a substrate heater should be placed under the terrarium. Remove heavily soiled substrate spot-wise daily. Replace the substrate completely as needed.

Diatomaceous earth products are officially listed as a food additive
The quantity applied to the required areas depends on the nature of the material. A light-coloured coating should be visible everywhere on the treated surfaces.
Diatomaceous earth consists of the ground skeletons of fossilised diatoms, the so-called "diatoms". These skeletons consist of silicon oxide. The use of diatomaceous earth as a natural raw material is becoming increasingly important. Its absorptive capacity is useful wherever liquids or moisture need to be bound. The product is also authorised for use in animal feed in accordance with EU regulations for all animal species. The product is therefore extremely safe, especially when used in the immediate vicinity of pet food.
Diatomaceous earth cannot be overdosed! It must be used and stored in a dry place. If the powder becomes slightly damp, leave it open on the radiator to dry.Diatomaceous earth is also available as Diatomaceous earth Liquid Powder – for dust-free application.
Composition: naturally sourced micro-element earths
Recommended use: In the home: Spread as evenly as possible. Sprinkle thinly on carpets, carpet edges and fluffy underfloors in particular and work in if necessary. In the stable: Sprinkle powder carefully on floors, walls, in corners and cavities. Diatomaceous earth can be applied to the required areas either by hand or with a dust pump (pressurised sprayer).Diatomaceous earth must be stored and used in a dry place, otherwise it will not be effective.
Close packaging tightly after use! Can be stored indefinitely in a dry place! Caution, light-coloured materials may become discoloured! Please test in a concealed place before use!
Warning: Do not use in the vicinity of flea, mite and insect breeding sites, as diatomaceous earth destroys them through dehydration!

Use in the terrarium
The foliage can be applied over a large area as a cover layer and thus supports humidity regulation. At the same time, it provides retreats and food for invertebrates, which enrich the soil with valuable nutrients and thus promote plant growth. Ideal for use in bioactive terrariums with auxiliary fauna and natural planting.

For a particularly stable microclimate, we recommend regularly loosening the HabiStat Leaf Litter slightly and combining it with other natural materials such as moss or pieces of bark. This creates an even more varied soil structure, which reptiles and invertebrates particularly like to use.
Lucky Reptile Hydro Drain
Hydro Drain is used as a drainage layer under the normal substrate, allowing water to seep through the substrate and be stored by the clay granules.
Used as a drainage layer under the normal substrate
Water can seep through the substrate and is stored by the clay granules.
Thanks to its water storage capabilities, Hydro Drain also increases humidity in the terrarium and is practical for supplying plants with sufficient groundwater.
suitable for use with underfloor heating systems
Hydro Drain is actually indispensable for tropical terrariums. It is a special clay substrate that is a very good water reservoir. Hydro Drain is used as a drainage layer under the normal substrate. Water can seep through the substrate and is stored by the clay granules. If the water absorption capacity of the clay is exceeded, the water can also easily remain on the terrarium floor. As long as the height of the drainage layer created with Hydro Drain is not exceeded, bogging of the normal substrate is prevented. Thanks to its water storage capabilities, Hydro Drain also increases humidity in the terrarium and is practical for supplying plants with sufficient groundwater. We recommend adding a layer of Hydro Drain at least 3 cm high to the terrarium and covering it with our special Hydro Fleece. The normal substrate such as terrarium humus or Jungle Bedding is then added on top. The Hydro Fleece prevents soil from seeping between the clay granules, while water can flow through without any problems. Hydro Drain is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems.
